The Premium members have been known to come here and try and disrupt the board. The key word is "try" because they are not very good at it.
this board will not have fair balanced discussion w/o active moderation.
Interesting business model---we'll let the free board become a cesspool so that people will be glad to pay us just to get away from it. The operators seem to have failed to consider, however, that there are other free boards out there which are moderated.
It isn't just ND talk. But you guys are always welcome to post on the Soundoff board. We have a decent group of Mods. However there is plenty more shenanigans on that board than this one. Just because of the nature of it.
May directv some of the main board posters over here. They would definitely have fun with these posters.
Be careful what you wish for. You can have a Mod who is over active in his policing where the Mod becomes the nuisance. The Mods we had were there at times and nowhere to be found many other times. "I don't have time to read every comment". Sounds familiar? Still, it was better than nothing I guess. I still maintain that not responding to these idiots is the best way to deal with them. Code of silence. By engaging them you are not going to embarrass them or out wit them. But, with that said, nothing will change until the regulars change. We are more than capable of policing the board and getting into a heated middle school playground tirade with them is not the way.
Jack, I've got to disagree with you. Although the prior moderator was not necessarily vigorous in his approach, there was some semblance of control. You remember the cornfield. Posters like Bubba and the Indiana fan would have been sent there long ago. And even though it does not seem to be difficult to start up under a new screen name when one is banned, the back and between argus man and the FSU fan was not allowed to go on as it is now. Now, unfortunately, anything goes.
