Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic junior wing D.J. Harvey was offered by Notre Dame coach Mike Brey, who will personally recruit him due to the connections he has with his alma mater.

Harvey is originally from Huntsville, Ala., and then for his eighth grade year, he played varsity at Arden (N.C.) Christ School. His father, Darren Sr., has a military background in the D.C. area. So, the family relocated to Maryland and Harvey went to DeMatha his freshman year and joined Team Takeover traveling team on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League circuit.

Rivals.com ranks the 6-foot-5, 180-pounder (probably weighs a little bit more) as the No. 13 overall junior in the class of 2017. We'll talk to him about his ND offer this week at the NBPA Camp in Charlottesville, Va.
