There’s no guarantee that any playcall will work. The other team is trying too.
ND will win this easily. This is the type of game for evaluating issues. The same ones seem to be happening.
RL going deep is an issue.
OL push in power situations.
Denbrock play calling.
Silly penalties.
It's all improved over the season...but you get the feeling this has to be better in the playoffs to win.
It definitely needs to be cleaned up for the coming USC game.

Army was stacking the LoS, OL can only block so many. Do you even understand math.
Going deep hasn't been an issue in this game. They didn't try to and they've moved the ball up and down field every possession
We had TO’s. Not sure why MD tried twice to get sideline. A draw would have been killer with Army deep.
RL should have hit and not overthrown his receiver on that end zone pass.
I might be reading too much into it...but like I said, in games like this, you try to find improvements on things that will matter against a good team.
RL has had issues on that kind of play all season. Maybe he's objectively improved, but hard to tell given opponents of this quality.

Denbrock infuriates me with these play calls inside the 5. Especially against a team like Army spread em out and use your athletes. Holy hell. As others have mentioned what is the hold up in getting soccer guys to tryout? No joke this is a major problem and could even cost em next week. He cannot go into the playoffs status quo.
That was his fist miss of the game and it was inches. Seems pretty good today.
True. I'm just talking from a what can be improved viewpoint.
Nick Saban by the way was like that...always looking to fine tune. Pretty good at seeing issues even against weak teams.

Good playcall on 3rd and 7 by Army. Great play by Mills to rip him down. Thought it was a penalty at first.
