Am I the only one sick and tired of hearing about Navy? People act like they are Oklahoma or Texas from the 1970s. Navy's vaunted triple option! The Irish better watch out! Keenan Reynolds is the master of the triple option. Give me a break!! If ND doesn't beat this team by 4 TDs they should quit talking about any playoff and Kelly turn in his resignation. It's freaking Navy for crying out loud! ND better come out and just smash these guys in the mouth then for good measure step on them so they won't even think about getting up. This is utterly mind boggling that Navy has become more than a nuisance. I'm sorry, but there isn't one player on the field or on the their bench that would play for ND. If there ever was a year to crush this team it's this year. Respecting Navy off the field is fine. On the field I want to see ND give them a major beat down.

The game is a lot more technical than simply smashing people in the mouth. I don't feel that GT played particularly well against ND and still have concerns about defending the option.
What about the last two years? Navy put up 34 points in 2013 and nearly won if not for a great athletic play by Jaylon Smith. 2014 they put up 39 points. If ND has a couple turnovers, I could easily see Navy making it close or even winning.

78, it's tounge n cheek. You get my point though. Notre Dame should win this game and it shouldn't be close. As far as being more technical, sure I understand that. But here's the thing. ND is vastly bigger, faster and strong at ever position. So here's the question. When I ask " what time is it ? " Do you build me a wrist watch, or do you simply tell me the time ? Notre Dame needs to come out and impose their will. Yes, it is that simple.
During coach Holtz years (86-96) ND was 11 - 0 vs Navy. Average points for ND 44. Points for Navy 14.9. It's Navy. If ND wants to be in the national talk each year then take care of business, its that simple. No more excuses, beat the teams you should beat with the 2nd team let alone the #1's.

Herb , believe me I get it. Notre Dame will make Navy look like Alabama. Then the next week, Navy will play Villanova or Deleware and lose. Sure, Navy may put up some points. But no way in hell ND shouldn't put at least 40 plus on the board. If the Irish come out and play with chip, they win going away. If they come out like they did against Clemson, they are going to be in a dog fight. I really believe they will dominate like they should and give the subs valuable playing time. I will be very disappointed if they sleep walk through this game.
