I think as fans, we only see the bad. I’m guilty. Clean up the penalties and that’s probably another 14 point swing.

When you play those tracks your just naturally a bit more conservative. Don’t lose it, let it come to you.

In reality we gave up no second half points and put up almost 600 yards of offense. Sam had 330! Yards, 3 TD’s and a rushing TD.

Watch it Monday and it will seem better.

To be fair ND has scored over 40pts in all their victories. It sets up a top 10 matchup featuring 2 blue bloods in primetime that they get to hype all week. And lets be honest most us ND fans hold our team to a higher standard.
Factor in FSU was lucky to get away with a win despite BC's 18 penalties. Both Bama, Georgia struggled. Michigan is in a 1 score game at half vs a similar MAC opp. Not a lot of ammo for them.

The missed tackles and penalties definitely led me into a spiral so I can get behind that sort of mindset. The refs being atrocious didn’t help either

Didn’t dominate on defense the way I would’ve liked. Defense has just has moments this year that give me doubts against top teams.

Hoping we were just looking past CMU and can play a lot better.

I am impressed we can win a game by 24 even against a mac team without bringing out A game

Im going to go out on a limb and predict that the ND defense will be much more intense & locked in for OSU than they were for CMU. Its hard to get all the way up for a MAC team when you know what is coming up next week. Just a hunch...

The ultimate question will be can the #3 cornerback hold up vs OSU. The OSU wrs will get theirs, but if they can just hold up without becoming an albatross we have a shot

I think Harper has been getting better by the game. We’ll see though

I think that's more than a hunch. Win or lose, this team will be amped up next week. Whether that's enough to cover our lack of speed or inability to sack the QB is beyond me, though.

Our impression of the ND defense and interior offensive line is more accurate than the national media. They are pumping up the next big show. It’s good for the game.

It happens. Look at Michigan. 30-6 after three qtrs vs Bowling Green. Alabama. Texas struggling with Wyoming. It happens..
