MSU

They have beaten two bad teams with no offense to speak of. Still, be wary because I don't think we really know how good or average they are. Always dangerous.

Any Thoughts on MSU ?
Just wonder if they'll have their guard ready.

MSU is always fundamentally sound, and will play a very good game! ND needs to come in focused with the continued sense of improvement week to week.

We will be strong up front and try to run the ball/stuff the run. Same story as always.

Watch out for our QB, he's way more athletic than you think!

WMU has no offense? They scored 31 on USC and are averaging 32 ppg, even with MSU holding them to 14.

We actually held WMUs offense to 0. WMU had a fumble ran back for 6 and kickoff return for a score by the same guy.

Slobber knocker in the trenches game, winner in the 20s, loser in the teens. Probably look a lot like the ND v Georgia game, without the novelty.

Easy research tells a tale of a WMU offense that is 66th Rushing O, 117th Total O, 83rd in Scoring O, 120th in Passing O. BTW....USC is currently 77th in Scoring D. I don't know how any of this translates to the rest of the season so everyone is free to draw their own conclusions without any judgement from me.

MSU has played two games. Their opponents are a combined 1-5, with the win being against Idaho.
ND has played three games. Our opponents are a combined 6-3.
What all this means---who knows?

Do you think the opponents that their opponents have played may have something to do with their record? BGSU has played two Big Ten opponents which they are expected to lose to and WMU has played the PAC 12 favorite (top 5) and one of the top two Big Ten programs over the past decade. Neither opponent has scored an offensive TD or even threatened to against MSU. Good grief, at least add a cursory level of objective analysis to your post.

Maybe they bought time but that's such a deep thought to have on this message board so I have to assume it's something more tangible...gloves for receivers maybe?

They had that big win vs Sac State. And UNLV put 44 on them. that's 7 more than WMU. Oh and UNLV lost to Howard who are 1-2.

USC is overrated. Their 3 games are good proof. Does this mean they won't get better? No. Does it mean they lose to ND? No. But they are a ESPN Mirage. 2 possibly 3 loss team. No byes. 12 straight weeks. It will happen.

This should be a close game which could go either way. ND is favored by four points, but were favored by six vs. UGA.

A lopsided win but either will tell us a lot.
