I mentioned previously that wide receiver Micah Gilbert had been sidelined at Notre Dame's spring practices. Gilbert spoke to reporters today about his injury. He broke a bone in his right hand during a special teams drill in the first spring practice. He said the recovery time is 6-8 weeks. He was wearing some sort of cast today, but he was still in pads. He's able to run routes and get mental reps, but he's not allowed to catch passes or take contact.
