That should be the case.

Miami is 10-2 and lost by 4 points to 9-3 Syracuse and 5 points to 7-5 Georgia Tech.

Alabama is 9-3 with losses to Vanderbilt (6-6), Oklahoma (6-6), and Tennessee (10-2). Oklahoma was a 21 point loss. OU has gotten whooped multiple times this year and Vanderbilt also had a horrible loss to Georgia State (much worse than NIU). So OU and Vandy are not the same quality as 6-6 USC.

I hope the SEC bias doesn’t kick in. It’s too bad Clemson messed up at the end there against South Carolina.

Doesn't really matter imo. While seedings can be a factor, bottom line is you gotta survive and advance. That's what great about the playoffs. We'll see who really is the best team.

I don’t want Alabama getting in the playoffs over Miami. That’s the issue rather than simply seeding. Miami should be ranked #11 and Alabama #12 going into Championship weekend.

Funny how Bama crushed LSU then Oklahoma crushed Bama then LSU crushed Oklahoma all within weeks. So much for comparisons.

Bama also beat Georgia, South Carolina and Missouri while Miami has beaten no ranked teams

It will be a close call for the committee. One team will be in the tourney, the other out

Got it. Yeah on paper I'd say Bama is the better team, but Miami while they've gotten lucky multiple times do overall have a stronger resume.
