Ok, so the awful offense last week wasn't the result of playing in an hurricane; or so it seems. We tighten up the D and now the offense is horrible. I mean I watch WSU and UW run all over these guys with ease the last two weeks, and Stanford had Mccaffrey.

Like I said, Kelly has never in all his time at ND had a team that played well in 2 of the 3 units. ST has always been bad. The defense under Diaco was good and the offense sucked. Then Kizer lifted the offense but the defense was awful. Now the defense is playing well and Kelly has once again put far too much on the shoulders of a 20 year old QB because the rest of the offense was not good.
yep. Iike I've been saying, right now Kizer is ALL we have. There is not nothing else on this team and sadly Kelly is piling more and more on his shoulders. Kelly is the worst QB coach in CFB.
I never thought he was a bad coach, but damn he really is quite freakin horrible!

I don't think he's is (or was) a terrible coach. He was a good coach that should have been gone after year 5. There is a reason no coach beyond the most successful ones have not lasted more than 5 years. It's an incredibly stressful just that grinds a coach down unless he's had a lot of success and built a strong bond with the fans. Kelly didn't do that and he should have been gone, not because he was bad, but because ND is a meat grinder... and he's being ground up now.
