Yeah, I suppose.... That would make more sense, that it's something else, that it wasn't literally the buyout itself, and that ND in the end just couldn't bring themselves to do it. It's certainly being reported in the media that way, that the buyout was the sticking point. That is so true! I think the "buyout issue" is what is being portrayed in public, but my guess is there were deeper issues. You don't enter contract negotiations without knowing what the buyout is --
If that is just sort of a whitewash, the buyout reason that's being publicly reported, it doesn't make ND look none too good. For some sort of white lie that's certainly not putting a positive spin on it....
