Line now 6.5

Interesting. Weather related ?
I think that the Indiana quarterback is from Canada, ergo, he’s used to cold weather.

I don’t think the line is coming down because of the weather, the current forecast calls for no rain or snow, just cold temperatures

I don’t think Indiana is going to be the pushover everybody seems to think.

Line movement in point spread betting is usually all about Las Vegas making the suggested margin of victory more attractive or less attractive, so that the house can more effectively manage the final betting outcome.

When the numbers in a point spread bet go higher it means the majority of money is being placed on the favorite and the sportsbooks are trying to entice some action the other way. If the numbers are getting lower, the majority of the money is going on the underdog. So my guess is that there were a lot of bettors who liked Indiana getting 7.5 points and the oddsmakers are trying to get some action on Notre Dame by lowering the spread.

Rourke is from my neck of the woods in Canada - 20 miles from Hamilton, Ontario - and I was a lot colder in my years in South Bend than I was back home...Lake Ontario keeps you warm in the winter...

Plus Rourke says he's never played in a snow game...too bad for him...they are so much fun!

Not sure who feels like an 11-1 team is a push over. However, they are not the toughest team ND has played this season.

I live in Oakville....the home of the Rourke's........I do agree there is something to be said for being used to cold and snow but looking forward to watching it inside tonight with friends. Go Irish!

toughest opponents on NDs 2024 schedule (as per F+) including their talent ranking:

Indiana #9 (talent: 57th)
Texas A&M #14 (talent: 10th)
Louisville #16 (talent: 36th)
USC #22 (talent: 15th)

Georgia in the Sugar Bowl would be the toughest with a #6 F+ ranking and a #2 talent ranking.

Indiana would be a far more 'scarier' opponent if they had a more talented roster. There is maybe only 2 or 3 guys on their entire roster that would start at ND.
