What a promising young QB this kid is! Smart, good heart (his girlfriend's troubles last year), a leader who is a true ND guy. Think of this: I was kinda grumbling when Golson left (I thought this team would be so good with a fifth year senior with a rocket arm at the helm) but it would have probably meant Malik would have left? Maybe. But one thing for sure... Kizer was staying at ND to get his degree! Kid is bright and motivated in the classroom. And humble. Now, thanks to Golson's now-looking-stupid decision, ND has a three year starter going forward getting all kinds of experience in a pressure filled, final four run.

In stature and arm he reminds me of Brady Quinn (although unlike Brady, Kizer has a Kelly recruited o-line.) And he is having a better first year at the helm. I also think he is more athletic with a bigger upside. He really does have NFL size and he feels the pocket like Eli Manning -- he doesn't cut and run like Golson or take the sack like Clausen.

Kelly has the cupboard fully stocked and Sanford is doing a great job with the young QBs.

Feeling good about Kizer (6'4" 235/240 by the time he is senior?) a true ND man and Malik and Wimbush going forward.

You really can't ask for too much more than Kizer has given the Irish this season! He's help save the season!
