I expect Deshone to play his BEST game to date. Why? Well 1st ND needs him to vs clemson. But I think he's anxious to put the full spotlight back on HIM after all the deserved press Brandon got after umass.

Coach Kelly will have one of the great challenges in his career come this spring re keeping his QB's . This will be interesting to say the least - no predictions from this poster simply put I have been around teams and athletes my whole life . They are by definition competitors who's main goal is being on the field .

Coach Kelly you will have your hands full this spring .

It may even get testy this year. We have not seen Kizer really have that bad game yet. Wimbush is electrifying to say the least. Will be hard keeping everyone happy.

Can Malik play a different position? Can he catch?
It could be a real great thing or a mess come spring. Definitely will have to be handled perfectly.

Yeah, this sucks. Kizer will obviously be the most experienced guy, but will he be the most talented? If Zaire wins the competition, will Kizer be willing to stick around two more years? Hopefully, Zaire and Kizer both stay and ND can redshirt Wimbush and Book.

Kizer plays the QB pisition in a more traditional way. MZ is more in mold of a Dennis Dixon; Wimbush is a blend of the two. Kizer and Wim are better passers of the football. MZ is the most physical and more a threat when the ball is in his hands across the LOS.
Watching ND's offense under KizWim will not be much different. MZ gives the offense a different look.

On a side note to Kizer throwing TD passes this week. Will Fuller is only 4 TD receptions behind Golden Tate's career number of 26 which is top 4 all time for Notre Dame. Keep that connection rolling DK!

This WAS Malik's team in the Spring and the Fall. He is a true leader. He will be the QB next Fall. A very very very difficult decision for BK. One thing that is important is that Kizer and Zaire get along very well. Wimbush might be the best of all 3 . Keep in mind . Zaire was a RS. This was his 3rd year. Kizer was a RS . Wimbush is not ready right now but possesses Zaire-like rocket for an arm and can run. He is a true Frosh. Do not be surprised if he is the starting QB at some point this year. I like Kizer but he has to demonstrate much better accuracy to offset his lack of arm-strength. His deep out was awful and that could lead to pick 6s Saturday nite. His deep ball is no where near MZ and Wimbush. He needs to play a great game Saturday night . If he does not this board will be lighting up on Sunday . The most important statistic for a QB is the W. He might just be a winner. I hope he leads this team to a playoff berth .

Winbush is good but not better than the Zaire kid who is a complete qbs. Intelligent great athlete and tough minded

IMO opinion - Kelly will have to start utilizing a 2 QB system again - Zaires injury has caused a depth chart cluster f --- ( no spacing ) . The program cannot afford a mass defection due to playing time issues at the QB spot -- All three of these kids have NFL aspirations -- playing dutiful back up for three yrs won't float the boat IMHO . Just read where Kelly is already considering Wimbush for certain roles . I know most aren't keen on this type of arrangement but Kelly may have no choice -- if two of these kids were to leave and the one left standing got hurt we are shit out of luck

Kelly MUST factor in that very real possibility

That is evident with the success of DK and BW and the camera shines on a smiling happy MZ sitting in the press box. They went on to say that there was a tension between MZ and EG. Those are their words, not mine. Skip also asked BK if it is out of the question to see BW on the field in certain spots other than QB. BK didn't say yes but he didn't say no. I say No with a capital N. We are still in the early part of the season with injuries galore. BK needs to be guarded with his assets and BW and DK are two of the biggest assets the team has. We have enough big time playmakers. Use them all. No need to risk BW at any other position than QB.

There is NO WAY NO WAY that Wimbush plays anything but QB -- no way UNLESS it is split out wide and his only job is to take a hand off on a reverse and throw the ball -- and that is a playground stretch

As anything can happpen I don't think you will see both on the field at the same time. If DK falters and offense is stuck in mud I think he brings in BW to change the pace. Give a spark. That is only way we see BW outside of a blowout in either direction.

MZ and BW are in the 4.55-4.6 range

4.8-4.9 is about what a Jameis Winston is. Moble, and can get the job done, but not someone who is feared.
4.55-4.6 is more like Cam Newton speed. Now 40 times don't tell you the whole story. I would compare Wimbush's style more to Cam. He's a big strong quarterback with some wheels. Malik is more of a Manziel. He's got the quick twitch ability and can make you miss. I'm not saying that these guys are as good, I'm just giving my thoughts on a comparison in running styles.
Then you have the game changers with their speed like Kapernick and Mariotta who can just knife it and leave people in the dust.

Wow, how long has it been since ND has been blessed with this much talent. There is going to be so much competition between spring practice and fall its going to be insane. QB, TE, RB, Slot, WR, RT, C, and D-Line are all going to be really intense next season.
