Joe Moore award

Same here. I attended a Notre Dame-Navy game, and I now know why Notre Dame will play Navy into perpetuity.

Why this? I don’t agree or like most of his posts, but sjb75 is expressing appreciation for the service academies here, and alluding to mutual respect between Navy and ND. Personally, I hate this game for its unique challenge, but you have to appreciate the history and admire navy’s 110% on every play at seemingly every position.

Army will always be beaten by the best teams in the country. That doesn't mean their OL doesn't kick ass. I still wish they could have made the playoff somehow. That would have been awesome. If Boise lost, and whatever else needed to occur the last couple weeks. Other than losing to us.

Yes, for some time now. The caveat is that, depending on the standards at each institution, the must get down a certain weight before graduating and going to their assignments. I think it's around 220 pounds for the USNA. As an aside, I've seen videos of large Midshipman football players not being able to complete the Obstacle Course during their summer Marine indoctrination at Quantico which could impact their being awarded a Marine option.
