Another wideout .not impressed , how many Fullers are there . Eifert was not highly recruited ,Golden Tate both 3 star ,Floyd and Rudolph both 5 stars .What kind of speed does Armstrong possess ?

He's got a higher composite rating than the WR he replaced (Pouncey) by 40 spots and, yes, we needed another WR for this class. He's a great addition.

Seriously want this kid more than any other late season target, but he and his family have been damn quiet since the ND visit followed by Vandy. Read others suggesting he is trending to Vandy, but no family quotes to support this. We'll know soon enough.

10.8, 100m speed in a 6'0, 200lb body. I like this kid. We needed an X receiver and Martin was the obvious first choice, but I'll gladly take Jafar as a backup plan.
Yeast, Owusu, Tagovailoa and Harris are all still on the on board. I feel like ND will get 2-3 of the 4.
IIO no need explain our get to Izo he's just mad because it's a 3 star recruit. If the guy was a 5 star he'll be saying oh we know Kelly can recruit offense, if it was a 5 star D guy he would complain that we can't win, with the talent anyway. You just can't please a lot of fans in this board. IMO it's a great get for the Irish and I'm glad we were able to flip a talented prospect this late in the class.

With Polians success on the islands will have Myron be Irish !! Expect more islanders in 18 and 19 as Polian is developing a cult following there.

Bodi, don't know where you read that Elko wants Armstrong as a shut down corner. The main criticism of Armstrong is that he lacks take off speed into his routes, and that he lacks the classic long measurables desired of receivers. His track speed is excellent as evidenced by winning the 100 and 220 State championships, but I thought I read where his forty time was in the 4.6 range as opposed to what Ara posted. At any rate, this kid reminds me of a high school version of Anquan Boldin with his muscular powerful lower body and his overall catching skills and ability to run through and around defenders after the catch. OC Long made Armstrong a priority his first day on the job, and I expect he'll prove to be a really good physical receiver for us. Everything I read about his achievements suggest a young man with a huge upside.
According to Eric Hansen, our new S & C assistant we picked up from IMG Academy, Ballou, is actually very good at developing speed. Here's the key quote:
"Among the areas where that showed up at IMG was in speed gains and injury prevention... IMG had seven players who were recently laser-timed in the 40-yard dash at under 4.5 seconds. A year ago, not one of that group was even close to approaching 4.5-flat."
So Jafar will have help getting his short burst speed up to par with his 100 and 220 times.
