FWIW, there was a post on another site that indicated he was trying to come back to ND whether he played football again, or not. I don't think Kelly has made a statement on the issue, other than several weeks ago opining that Ishaq getting re-admitted to ND was not going to be an easy task.
It is obvious that you don't want him on the team.
So, Williams has academic, issues and should not get a second chance, but you should be able to lie and masquerade as a board op......

If he is back at ND, he served his academic suspension and should be eligible for FB like Russell unless what he did during the suspension jeopardized his eligibility for some reason (remember BK stating that they didn't really know what he was up to).
If he didn't jeopardize his immediate eligibility for some reason, then the only question would be whether or not BK thinks he is one of the best 85 guys on campus.
I hope it works out for him for both his degree and FB. He seems like a young man that has built a lot of character over the past 4 years.

I think it will come down to the wire for Williams. I see him practicing with the team and if there is a spot he will be on the team. If not he will practice and keep the guys sharp. With the numbers being what they are it may come down to the wire for him due to Notre Dame currently being over the 85 limit. If we lose two (I think this is the number) more players for whatever reason then I think he will get a scholarship assuming of course he completes the course load required in good standing this summer.
TOS posts say he is determined to get his degree, even if he has to pay his way. Football? No one has that answer as yet.
I wonder if he can graduate and then transfer and then petition the NCAA for a 6th year; given that if ND has no room he was denied his 4th year of competition?

No. Perse has generally been one of the better posters on this board since I've been here. We've had many tete a tetes over the years that have remained civil.
