If Baylor wins this week we are in....

And heres why.

Baylor winning will clearly elimnate Ok State. But i think it will make it very hard for OK to jump us.

Assuming OK wins this weekend over a 18th ranked TCU playing without their start QB or WR, OK will not get enough from that win to jump us. Leaving them one game to do it - the Ok State game.

If Baylor wins this weekend, OK state will slip to the 8-11 range. The exact area Stanford is.

If we beat the 9 stanford team, and they beat the 10 or even 8 ok state team in OK, i dont see how that has enough juice to jump us.

On the bad side....if Baylors QB sits, OK State will win.

Next Tuesday is the most important vote of the year for us. If we stay at #4, ahead of the Big 12 teams, it's very hard to imagine that we could beat Stanford and go backwards. This is the week we have to worry about getting bumped out of #4.

Yeah and the ESPN boo birds are out. Continually downplaying a bad loss to Texas and stressing the "Eyeball" test of whos playing best right now. Also put up some bs about notre dame being the least likely team to make it if they win out. Best case. Iowa loses, OSU wins, Clemson wins, Bama gets destroyed (just because...no real reason other then kharma for that BS SOS), and Baylor knocks of OSU.

I still dont think OU can jump in front of Notre Dame. The only thing that I can think of coming up is that the Notre Dame team that beat Texas is not the same Notre Dame team playing now (Injuries to starting qb for one) and that Texas improved as the season went on. I think that is far fetched though. If its scratch I say ND still makes it in.

My worry is that if Notre Dame and OU win out and Clemson loses to UNC badly in the ACC final that Notre Dame is jumped by either UNC or OU, with that loss to clemson looking worse.

Stanfords loss I think takes our destiny out of our own hands. We need to win out and a loss or two in the big 12. just my $.02.

I agree with this. I think if OK St. wins they will jump us. But i dont think OK can with a win over an injured riddled #18 now but soon to be in the 20s TCU.

The thing that will change this is if OK State wins and gets to 4 or 5, the committee might look at a win by OK over a 4/5 time as enough to bump them in front of an ND team that bet 9/10 Stanford.
