How Many-----?

This is not the ND I grew up loving. It used to be that ND win much more of this kind of game then they lost. This finding a way to lose is not new under Kelly it's been going on for twenty years more or less and I for one am sick of it. Bottom line I think the PTB don't care about football. They're doing just enough to keep the fans in the seats. I might be wrong (usually am) but, either way if the over paid professors checks stop clearing ND would be in the business of winning fb games again.

How many of you, like myself, felt early in the game; as it became clear it would be close, Notre Dame would find a way to lose?
Of course. Any type of trying moment BK wets himself.

He acts arrogant like he's just an expert on big game moments when in fact he's completely over whelmed.

He's still cashing in on his fast paced two year success offense he had at cincinatti.

BK is a terrible coach.

Well, I am not certain he is 'horrible' or even bad; but I am certain he is 'not Great'. And we have had posters here in recent months saying he was among the all time ND greats! They put him in the top coaches in the country, they talk of statues! They have insulting nicknames for disagreeing posters; they use vulgarity and character assassination as there tool.
You guys know who you are! Man up!

Sorry, wrong! This guy is completely over his head and has been since he's gotten here. Badly prepared teams, poor game plans and terrible game management, and I haven't even gotten into his handling of his players. Gimmick coach - it's called the Peter Principal. Another bad hire and contract extension. Just do not understand how the AD and administration evaluate this guy and HC's in general, can't believe they have not seen for years what everyone else sees clearly. Unfortunately, think we are in this until after next season, unless we lose 7 games or more, then both sides may agree to move on.

No the 3 guys before him were bad coaches. Kelly is a good coach that should have been let go after year 5.

I knew we would lose when he continued to throw the football into the teeth of a hurricane. For some reason, Kelly favors three and outs while throwing, but if he gets a three and out while rushing the ball, he immediately panics and abandons that phase of the game, apparently unable to understand that running the ball takes patience.

I really thought we had this until the bad snap. As bad as most everyone is bitching about BK and as bad as the players played at times, and this goes for the whole season, ND was in it until the end. With that said, as bad as the coaching has been. As bad as the defense has been. As bad as the OL has been. ND is always in it till the end with a chance to tie or win the damn thing. The opponents are playing hard sound football with solid game plans and they still can't shake the Irish. What does that say about the opponents? It says they are bad too. With a solid game day coach and any ordinary halfway competent defense, the Irish would be in an unbelievable run starting back from last season.

My feeling about kelly was unaffected by the actual game loss; the post game presser was just more of the same and further confirmation of my opinion.

My negatives about Kelly include but are not limited his actual game day coaching failures.
So, this has nothing to do with Lou!

We had so many chances and I felt we would score on each, and win the game. We had six series where we had a first down between the 17 and 25 yard line, and we came away with a grand total of 3 points. We kept making huge mistakes in the red zone...sacks or fumbles or penalties or poor snaps or interceptions, etc... of nineteen plays in these six possessions, we ran twice! The entire game I felt we should have a package for MZ to run behind ten blockers much like NCS did, and Texas before them; as a change of pace for Kizer, etc...
