How Buckeyes beat Oregon

Nothing fancy -- just kicked their ass up front! Oregon could not stop OSU's running game.

OSU was every bit as fast as Oregon. In the 4th Quarter, the Oregon defensive linemen were gassed -- not from the speed of the game, but being physically beaten.

Your are correct 100% Kelso. A good old fashion ass kicking by their Oline. Just like Bama's Oline did to us in 2012. The game is won and lost in the trenches.

^^^^^ really?

you think the games were similar? ND 31-28 LSU vs a complete blowout! and has ND stopped l Fournette yet? Or did LSU's own QB take him out of the game?
LSU's offense ran 52 plays for an average of 8.4 yds with 285 yds rushing! and that was a game you think comparable to tOSU game?
the ND win was decided by a 4th QTR FG! The game was a battle. ND won by pounding the ball on the ground and limiting the LSU TOP.

It took LSU a kickoff return for a TD, a LONG run by their RB, and a fluke pass to their TE to "stay" in the game. Are you even an ND fan? Did you even watch the game?

I thought everyone on this board was calling you out for 'whatever' reason but now I see what a douche you are for making ND's win out to be a fluke.

aren't teams trying to return KO's, make long TD runs? When was that not part of execution?
We would be praising a ND play - give credit due LSU in the same manner.

ND beat a good team but it certainly was no blowout. Give the other team some credit and respect.

Define blowout for us then. I am always a bit skeptical when Epic is calling people out as be wrong.

the new definition of blowout: applicable to only ND; is getting a 3 point lead late in the 4th qtr; even though the other team has a last possession where they can win the game.

Well that's epic! (called out by a guy who could not even get his ID spelled correct)

ND fans claiming this was a blowout along the lines of tOSU win are why ND fans are labeled "delusional"; but not all of us!

Decent thread until the comparison to ND/LSU. Perse is simply correct, and this has nothing to do with his oft perceived negative posts. This game had more than it's share of fortunate key plays. Can't recite the fortunate big plays by LSU and ignore those by ND. the goal line call at the end of the first half and the desperation floating duck that Golson completed on a critical third down are two such examples. It was a really needed win and our guys played to their abilities and the same can be said for the coaching staff. A really good win, but not comparable to the Ohio State domination in the NC game.

Most ND fans are a cut above being 'pom pom waving airheads' ; they have some sophistication to their football knowledge and observations.

I do not think the poster was saying ND won in a blow out much like OSU won. But rather the fashion in which ND won the game was much like how OSU won the game. Both teams won there games by running the ball behind dominating offensive lines.

IJ

correct! and that is an important distinction here; the OP had a good point / perspective - a subsequent post was the poster that used the "blowout" analogy.

So the Op is is not the poster responsible for the "blowout" discussions.

ND fans want ND and it's fans to be respected; well you have to give that respect to other fans to get it back; in this case LSU.
