Golf Course tailgating?

I just booked my flight for the Stanford game and my buddy and I are looking into a parking pass in the Golf Course lot since they are more reasonably priced. I imagine they allow tailgating in this lot? Are there grill restrictions? And what are some of the positives/negatives of this lot? I've tailgated in the Joyce lot before but I'm not spending $300 on a parking pass for this lot. Do you feel as though you are too far away from the atmosphere in this lot or is the atmosphere also good? Any help is appreciated.

Go Irish!!!

I believe charcoal grills are a no no .... they don't want people tossing out their hot coals. Small propane ones are ok. Drinking is a thumbs up. Always fun and civil. Walk to stadium is about 15 minutes. not bad They will give you a trash bag for your trash and you just leave it when you go.

I don't feel as though it is too far away. The golf course will be packed ... lots of fans ... you will pay more to walk less. Walk through campus can be considered a plus.

Shouldn't you first go to an actually Notre Dame game before you start handing out advise?

His response was much appreciated. How do you know if he has ever been to a game or not? I was looking for advise on the lot not looking for rude comments when responding to someone looking to help out. I've been to many games but have never tailgated in the lot I was asking about. Next time keep your comment to yourself.

Went to my first game on campus last season, so I'm no expert. It was the USC game, night game. We got to the course around 11-12 or so if memory serves me correctly. The entire course was pretty dead at that point. We walked around campus for a bit, got a steak sandwich from the Knight of Columbus, walked the book store, hit up the grotto, player watch, etc. I assume as long as you don't mind a bit of a walk, it's a fine place to park. We returned to the car at some point throughout the day and did enjoy some tailgating. People were very gracious and we had a blast. I can't remember about charcoal grills though, sorry. If I had been there before, and wasn't looking to soak up as much of campus, and was looking more purely to tailgate, I may have tried to find a way to be closer to the stadium. Just my opinion! Hope it helps!

I would park beside the Ivy Court hotel on Ivy Court / on Twyckenhamm....as close to Campus as you can get without actually being there...short walk from the stadium.

English please. "Why for you go to game ?
I go to all the home games. Have gone for nearly 40 years. Been a ND usher for 20 years. You are the biggest poser on this message board. One would think they would have learned there lesson after the beating you took over the last several weeks. Like I said before, if you have never been to a game, then don't give out advise. Have a nice day Bugnut!

Between you and me and about everyone else on the message board. Bugnut is a whack-a-do! As long as you are not a fan of ND, Coach Kelly or Coach Brey you will be ok with him. Say anything positive about them and you will endure his wrath. Have a nice day!

You should spend a Saturday (or any other day) reading a book or taking an English class .... your posting proves that going to games doesn't give you a PHD in football .... you're statements that I'm all this or that are just lies .... you only remember anything negative because that is all you are ....

Like I said biggest hypocrite

I'm laughing at your juvenile responses exposing how much I got under your skin .... if you don't like it .... try and improve yourself and you won't sound so dumb ... go read a book :)

Hey stupid...."They will give you a trash bad." WTF is a trash bad....Who the fvck are you to make fun of someone and spelling....you are a jerk.
