Anyone else think it would be cool if the G5 schools had their own 8 team playoff? Or even 4 teams?

Interesting idea … I think a flight system with teams being promoted and demoted each year would be better … there are perennial bottom feeder P5 programs that would be better suited in G5

No.

If they're good enough they need included in the 12 team party.

You better believe some of the g5 can and will beat some from the P5 horseshit

FCS has their own playoff. G5 schools are at a distinct advantage when it comes to $ and resources. Not all but most. You could still put the top G5 team in the 12 team. I just think it'd be more interesting then the Boca raton bowl.

It's been difficult for decades to get wound up about 40 plus bowl games.

They arent good enough.
Bullshit...

Again let me know when your favorite team Alabama and other top teams from the SEC play north the Mason Dixon line post Halloween.

UCF...the ONLY team to finish undefeated by beating the only team that beat your beloved Alabama.
Cincinnati was also PLENTY good enough in the past and put up a better showing against your favorite team than we did against Clemson.

Yeah Cincy looked great last year against Bama. That was impressive

G5 teams arent good enough and never will be. Not enough talent.

We didnt play Clemson last year not only are you using the moronic transitive property in football, you're not even using the correct years.

I give you credit, you really try hard. But yet you continue to make yourself look like a moron

Impressive

More with thr juvenile name calling.
Earth to Bama's biggest fan...
We lost to Clemson 30-3 in 2018, no?
Lost is sugar coating that game and Cincinnati didn't fare any worse than us in the playoff or major bowl game under Brian Kelly

There have MANY that don't look good against certain opponents in the playoff
First time there...
Just overwhelmed...
Combination....

Cinci did every bit as good as a lot of your elitist P5 teams.
Michigan last year...fared as good... or as bad...as Cincinnati.

Again....

WTF are you doing here?

The Alabama board and or the LSU board will welcome another huge fan.
Hell we're still waiting for Brian Kelly to take us over the top. You spewed that shit weekly.

Funny how you shift gears on him when he bails for a rival of your favorite team.

It's a sinple fact.
UCF did exactly as I stated.
How many P5 teams get steamrolled in the playoffs? Usually at least one every year including us.
Cincinnati did every bit as good as a lot of p5 teams in the playoff.

No one cares when you go undefeated against the 90th ranked schedule in the country.

More than 30 fbs teams can do that

Not very impressive. Shitty example. What else do ya got?

Come talk to me when your favorite conference SEC top teams start playing above the Mason Dixon line post Halloween.

BTW...
Fact remains they didn't lose any game including beating the only opponent your favorite team in Alabama lost to.
That's a fact.

Nothing else needed.

Again...why aren't you on an SEC board or LSU's board telling them weekly how Brian Kelly will take them to the top. Just you wait and see.
Spew that horseshit to them since you repeatedly did that nonsense here around the clock.

More idiotic talk

Sec has been the best conference for 25 years now. Thats not breaking news. Everyone knows it

Get over it or beat them.

Georgia and Alabama sure looked overrated last year when they blasted Michigan and Cincinnati. Oh but it didnt happen above the mason dixon line so that would have made up the 4 td beatdown they give out

Oregon would have won that game this year if it was west coast. Those 46 points would have been magically made up by location

Shut up with your BS nonsense you toolbag

88 makes a damn good point. When was the last time one of these sec teams played a northern school on the road? It sure would be nice to see one of these sec "powerhouses" have to play a game in 20 degree weather. It never happens though. Come Nov-Jan they play at home or in a nice warm cozy location/dome. Ever wonder why USC won't play ND on the road in November? And thats a fact, and it does make a difference.

I dont really care where they play. Would it be nice to see, yeah. But what it make a real difference, like would Michigan all of a sudden be a better school than Georgia? Nahh

When was the last time OSU played against an sec team in september? I can't think of any. When was the last time Michigan did? I can't think of any. When was the last time we scheduled an sec team in September? I can't think of when. When was the last time USC played an sec team in sept? I don't know when. When has Oklahoma traveled to the sec in sept? I can't think of when

If you want them to play in the winter, gotta go play them in that heat. Let's see it. I'm all for it. But go both ways with it

And they usually have a chance to play in the Playoffs in a neutral site and we all know how that usually goes

We just discussed that on here how USC always plays us @ home in October while we play @ the Coliseum after Thanksgiving.
Every time.
I suspect if we forced USC's hand they'd drop the rivalry as we need a California presence much more than they need one in Indiana.

You don't care because you've never really played the game.
This goes way beyond the cold sleet, snow and freezing rain.
A simple cool..not even cold
(cold to me starts at 32 degrees) But a rather cool breezy late fall/early winter contest with low or very low humidity. You have absolutely no idea because how you'd know just how slick that leather gets.
Ever try and have a catch with a big football on a day like that in the north? The ball is extremely slick. Now let's also add in the blustery game days in November along with the snow, sleet and or freezing rain games.
Meanwhile the SEC has absolutely positively the best climate year round for playing football. That's simply a fact and they absolutely positively will not play north the Mason Dixon line post Halloween.
That's NOT coincidence.
Alabama played Austin Peay...🤣🤣🤣🤣 on November 19th so there's a date they could've headed north.
In 2021 they played NM state 🤣🤣🤣🤣 on November 13th
Skipping weird covid year
In 2019 they played WCU😯😯😯😯 on Nov 23rd
2018 they played The Citadel on Nov 10th

They certainly have the opportunity now don't they.

Now about your little ND won't go there in September bullshit.
Allow me to present you with 9/21/2019
On that SEPTEMBER day we played IN Athens Georgia.
Imagine that...

You just don't really understand how much weather can impact a game, collective momentum of a team during a season...etc.
The extent of your experience with it is playing ncaa football on your Xbox on a brisk and breezy November day.

Neutral site yes, usually in some dome or Florida/California

When you need to ask for inclement weather to even out games, you know the SEC is the top of the food chain in CFB.

Yeah i have no idea. Played football since I was 5 years old in northeastern Pa.

Another great point

Heres some games that actually mattered

Georgia vs Michigan 34 to 11
Alabama vs Cincy 27 to 6

Alabama vs OSU 52 to 24

Alabama vs Mich st 38 to 0

What happened? The sec sucks. How did they win those games?

IMO SEC teams or USC playing in colder weather in November is highly over rated. If you think playing in cold weather is going to be the difference between a win or lose your grabbing at straws.

Look at Montana State vs William and Mary. #4 vs #5. 18 degrees Game over. Not even close. William
And Mary wanted nothing to do with that cold.
