Fire Freeman and Rees now!

Lets rank your OP blunders

1. Recruiting crashing

2. Fire Freeman

3. Clemson Nd 2020
A few things

great win no doubt.. team and coaches and fans should celebrate

that wasn’t a great Clemson team , be honest with yourself … 10 teams better easily

freeman lost to Marshall and Stanford-
Terrible teams … this game doesn’t change that

less than 100 yards passing due to poor wr and qb recruiting… need to fix that asap

great performance but means nothing If you lose another game this season

take momentum and build… we’ll need to throw it vs usc most likely, Clemson wrs were not fast

They dominated Clemson with a below average QB

Whose fault was the poor recruiting, not Freeman, previous guy.

At no point did I think Clemson was better than us. We pounded them. They’re not a top 5 team. But probably a legit top 15 or top 20….and we took car business, beat their asses.

ND has to start handling ranked teams like this. I’m optimistic that our time is coming….

Love the OL and the 3 RB attack. Those units are really hard for a defense to contain for 4 quarters.

You said we'd need it vs Clemson, remember?

Good call again

The amazing thing about this win is ND dominated and attacked Clemson's strength which is their front 7.

Prior to this game Clemson was allowing just 87 yards rushing and 3.3 yards per carry. ND ran for 263 yards and averaged 5.6 yards per carry.

Say all you want about Clemson not being elite, ND dominated their ELITE DL.

Yes, that very much surprised me as well. Whoever coordinated this game plan for the running game deserves a fat bonus. They were very creative but worked within the realm of what was realistic. Clemson probably has 3-4 first round guys on that front 7 and probably all will be drafted.

And historically ND struggles to run the ball I'm big games.

What a bad take. Golden is doing a poor job
That was in season moves I would have made, not long term. I do think freeman is way in over head and it’s clearly showing but jack may be even bigger issue like I said when Kelly left.

Nah he's not. And that was a terrible move.

Ya gotta be able to admit when you were wrong

BK landed 5 5 stars. Freeman has landed 0. Kelly rebuilt two D1 programs, won several titles in D2, took ND to its first championship in 2 decades, made two playoff games and was offered $100 million to leave. He also created Rees, who was offered by The Nick Saban.

Freeman was a mid DC for one year at ND and was offered a HC job at a program built by Kelly with a floor of 10 wins but somehow managed to go 8-4 and lose to Marshall.

What was a terrible move? Jack having no clue after Kelly left? Freeman will either sink or swim this year

You making a horrible decision to get rid of Freeman in the middle of the year for Golden.... lol awful
It was never for golden in any permanent fashion, stop gap to have a real search when season is over

Right now freeman and nes recruiting is not close to good enough to make up for their recruiting deficiencies long term…. Hartman may be freeman’s savior this year. I see at best 8-4 with Buchner if we didn’t have Hartman

Yeah I got your point. I got it from the beginning

It was an awful idea then when I got it and it's an awful idea hearing it again that I still know it

Both awful really bad idea

If we’re right in the middle of the cfp race in November I’ll admit I was wrong, if we aren’t it’s only due to coaching

"if we aren’t it’s only due to coaching"

It could not be because ND might be an underdog to someone who may be better now could it?

"If we’re right in the middle of the cfp race in November I’ll admit I was wrong:

You don't have to wait until November -- most on here know you are wrong to begin with and simply look past it.

There was a recent Twitter poll where hundreds of fans responded. 10-2 was the floor according to 95% of responders. Say what you want but the fan base overwhelmingly has high expectations. With Hartman, the OL, running backs, DB’s, talent at LB, talent at DL, talent at WR, etc., it will take poor development and poor coaching not to go 10-2. Coaching held the team back last season I expect the same now that the staff is even worse.
