I think it's a big picture thing. If we fired Freeman today, one of our own, it would not be a good look. we need to give him 2 years.
You’ll know bythe end of this seasonI agree. But he should get a chance to prove himself. By year 2 we should know.
Good looks are irrelevant, winning is what countsI think it's a big picture thing. If we fired Freeman today, one of our own, it would not be a good look. we need to give him 2 years.
He flat out said he didn’t know what’s going onFreeman sounded terrible in the post-game press conference.
Shaken and completely without answers.
Looked like a guy that just now realized he is in way over his head
Somehow it was a worse look for him than the product of his work on the field yesterday. He flat out said he didn’t know what’s going on
they’re just going to try different stuff and see if anything works
no questions or calling out the abysmal tackling?
Would anyone be kind enough to link the post game conversation…..He flat out said he didn’t know what’s going on

Here you go! Though you may not want to do this to yourself. Try to maintain some optimismWould anyone be kind enough to link the post game conversation…..
He’s not one of our own, he’s an OSU moronI think it's a big picture thing. If we fired Freeman today, one of our own, it would not be a good look. we need to give him 2 years.
Reporter asks why we struggle at home under freeman and freeman thinks reporter means the stadium itself and fans… Full on idiotHere you go! Though you may not want to do this to yourself. Try to maintain some optimism
Ya it’s a really bad look. His body language is terrible and he doesn’t come across as being very brightReporter asks why we struggle at home under freeman and freeman thinks reporter means the stadium itself and fans… Full on idiot
Made Hangover sequelsMakes you wonder what they did all off-season!
AND WHO WOULD REPLACE THEM ?Freeman and Tommy need to both resign now
I don't feel bad for anyone making more money in 1 year than basically anyone in this forum will make in their entire career. Particularly when you lose to freaking STANFORD!I feel sorry for Marcus.
As Lou Holtz stated, being the HC at ND is a very difficult job, and that’s with prior head coaching experience
If he stays, and I think he will, he needs to hirer a home run OC and lean on Al Golden for help. Even with that we are going to go backwards. The QB situation scares the living hell out of me. No QBs on the roster and no one coming soon.
Matt Ruhle
AND WHO WOULD REPLACE THEM ?
do a vid and post it - let’s see what you got!ME! I could lose to Marshall and Stanford for $200,000 a year and the press conferences would be entertaining.
And what makes you so sure that Rhule would take the job ?Matt Ruhle
👍Freeman is here for at least 3 years. Lets hope he can keep the recruiting class intact. This Freeman hire will set back ND at least 5-7 years from where BK left it. ND needs that next great hire.
I don’t know, but I’d try.And what makes you so sure that Rhule would take the job ?
He will be given at least three years, but his contract includes a buyout so they can get rid of him whenever they want without fear of a successful lawsuit. They would just have to pay the buyout price. He’s horrendous can’t fire him without major lawsuit
What would it be for other than breach of contract?depends on what the lawsuit is for.
The media ripped ND to shreds when they let Ty go after 3 years. Firing Marcus after 1 or 2 years would be a media disaster.Good looks are irrelevant, winning is what counts
Yup. Minimum 3 years. if recruits start to see lack of quality coaching and development I’m not sure the nice guy/best friend approach is going to matter. The media ripped ND to shreds when they let Ty go after 3 years. Firing Marcus after 1 or 2 years would be a media disaster.
It would be difficult to believe that the contract isn’t an “at will” contract giving ND the right to terminate the contract without cause, with a buyout provision. What would it be for other than breach of contract?
Depends upon his record at the time of the firing. The media ripped ND to shreds when they let Ty go after 3 years. Firing Marcus after 1 or 2 years would be a media disaster.
The contract would provide that Freeman could be fired if Nd paid the buyout. The poster I was responding to said Nd would face a lawsuit if he was fired. Ia sked what could that be for other than breach of contract, which would fail because of the buyout clause. It would be difficult to believe that the contract isn’t an “at will” contract giving ND the right to terminate the contract without cause, with a buyout provision.
I can’t imagine a non-cause situation where ND wouldn’t pay the buy-out amount. The contract would provide that Freeman could be fired if Nd paid the buyout. The poster I was responding to said Nd would face a lawsuit if he was fired. Ia sked what could that be for other than breach of contract, which would fail because of the buyout clause.
You are quite right they would. My response was to a poster who wrote there would be a huge lawsuit if he was fired. There wouldn't be, ND would simply pay the buyout.I can’t imagine a non-cause situation where ND wouldn’t pay the buy-out amount.
Lets rank your OP blundersFreeman inherited a fiesta bowl team, crapped bed in fiesta bowl, then turned program into complete dumpster fire.
he’s a recruiting coordinator, nothing more. Rees is trash as a player and coach
