Dylan Edwards

Probably a little faster than Tyree and lateral ability like ????. Maybe Kyren?

Smaller faster Golden Tate?

The only guy we have had here in the last 20 years faster than him is Fuller
A smaller faster Golden Tate is a damn baller. Anyone would want that.

I don’t get the whole “the room is too full of talented guys”. No. Rack up great players, let them compete for PT.

Edwards would've found the field.

For sure. You bring in as much talent you possibly can and let the cream rise to the top

It's disappointing.

But lot to be excited about with this class. Hopefully we keep everyone else

This kid is now going on his third school in 8 weeks. Reading the opinions of this kid I expect Colorado to be in the CFB Playoff during his tenure.

More like 16 or more weeks.

Yeah that makes sense. Great point

I understood the crying and lamenting when a 5-Star QB like Dante Moore went to Oregon, or a Keon Keeley decommit. Understood.

This I simply don’t.

No one is crying

It's a simple statement that this hurts. He's a very good player and has something that we don't have on our roster.

Fans like to minimize every loss we have as we'll be fine no matter what and who cares that we lost a talented guy

But then when we lose games, they can't figure out how it happened or say we don't have enough talent

It was a simple statement them people get carried away

Decomits from the Irish. An undersized, human highlight film
Very fickle n impressionable kid. Likely enamored n caught up in Prime bs and being closer to home. On the surface a good decision for him unless he gets hurt and has to find his way with a Buffalo chip degree. But this is going to happen. Recruiting is brutal for coaches

I really liked the upside of this kid so I am disappointed. I hope I can get over this

Yeah. Or top 5.

He ran en electric 4.38 40 at the major camp this year. Was the fastest man at the biggest camp of the year

He may be the fastest player in the country
Is it fastest or top 5? My senior year in HS I placed 5th in the 100m at CIF finals. I don’t tell people I was the fastest. I say “I was 5th.”

I like these smaller, gadget, fast twitch guys - seems like every good team has one. ND hasn’t had one of these guys since George West and Munir Prince.

Wow! 4.4 speed and a combination of the best RB and WR at ND in the last 15 years- guys got Heisman written all over him. Unreal only CU and KSU know about this!

I expected two or three of our current running backs to hit the TP. Not talking Diggs or Estime or Price or Payne, but guys like Assaf. I also wouldn’t be shocked if Tyree goes this route as well.
I have my suspicions too telx. He didn’t get the lions share of the Handoffs this year. Does he have his degree yet ? I can definitely see tyree hit the portal.

Lose games? There is a metric called “WAR” in many sports. You act as if this kid can’t be replaced by another athlete. There will be another skilled athlete for the Slot/RB, or wherever he plays. The “WAR” on this kid, IMO, is zero. Losing this kid will not cost ND in the win column.

Would I like to have him? Of course. That said, IMO it’s barely a blip on the radar screen.

I find it interesting that he is a 5 and 7 on the loss factor... No offense to D Edwards, but with the talent ND has... he would have been a bit player at best. 2-3 on the loss. I hope he goes to Colorado and explodes for them. I have always liked D Sanders ....

How's would I know every players 40 times in high school? How would anyone know at this point?

I can say he may be the fastest pkayer in the country and he is probably top 5

He has rare speed that we usually dont get here

Im not getting into semantics. If every player that we thought were coming in this class didnt sign what would you say. Never had them so it doesnt hurt right.

We sign 0 players but never had any of them so it doesnt hurt to lose any of the players we thought we had

If Kenny Minchey decommits today, it doesnt hurt right, its not like we need talented QBs on the roster right

Such an ignorant comment. The coaches sure think they are going to sign these guys or we would have offers out to 27 other guys and trying to sign them

Your comment is just ignorant and foolish

No, not really an ignorant comment -- until they sign the LOI, they are free agents (hell, look at the portal on kids who have played -- now, sometimes, those can hurt). Sure, when a kid "verbally commits", the coaches expect the kid to sign, however; if they are doing their due diligence, they are also aware of vibes they get from kids as well (backing off a pledge).

It stinks when a kid backs off a verbal pledge, but, until the kids sign their LOI's, ND really never had them.

Now, if a lot of kids are backing off their pledges at a certain school (ND as an example), then something brewing that needs addressed.

Coaches expect these kids to sign or they would have a ton more offers out there. We'd still be recruiting QBs. If the coaches expect them to be signed, I do as well

Agree Golson, film--wise he was my favorite player in this class. Not as highly touted as many others, but his speed and cutting ability reminded me of the speedy difference makers Urban used in his offenses and seemed a great fit with our "thunder' RBS. Not the end of the world but I was pumped to see him play. This time of year is tough. For ever positive there are three disappointments.... Hope Springs Eternal!

I guess I have a different definition of commit. I'd rather these kids not commit until they are sure, but they are 17-18 years old... so it is what it is. Telling Marcus two weeks before signing day is tough. Luckily we are loaded at RB these days. I'm sure there are other shoes that will drop.

He was a slot/rb/kr/pr

The Edwards loss hurts. I understand the screw him mentality and it's easy to say we didn't need him or he wasn't good, but for all we know he will be Darren Sproles. It sucks and it shows that even Freeman showing up to his house a day or two earlier does nothing for a lot of these kids. I am in a negative mood and think we lose a couple more. It's a burnout job recruiting at ND and Freeman better buckle up if ND isn't going to pay kids.

One of the reasons he de-committed was due to ND recruiting and getting commits from WR's and RB's. Many on here complained about the staff for putting all their cards in on Dante Moore and that they should have continued to recruit other QB's.

You can't have it both ways.. If part of the reason he de-committed was being worried about competition do you really want someone like that on your team?

He de-committed to play for Prime. Nothing more, nothing less.

geez
how long was this kid committed? In one door, out the next! in another door!
