After watching ND evolve over the last 25 years I'm not sure if Miami played ND again which school's administration and alumni would have the "convicts" moniker and which school would be known as the "Catholics".

For example:
  • Which school is so enthralled with celebrities sending their kids to their school that they even allow in a rock star's kid whose father says he's a farmer on his taxes to avoid paying too much in state taxes. Then at the same time the father campaigns for left wing candidates that mock religion, right to life and are hellbent on replacing the long time residents in this country who won't enable their agenda. Then have this kid organize a walkout of the sitting VP of the USA on graduation who is the embodiment of what ND claims it stands for.
  • Which school recruits a five star running back from Florida who didn't grow up in the Cleaver household but had an elite skill-set to play football and possibly make money off it someday to support himself and his family? Then the school pumps him up during the spring of his freshman year only to sparsely play him his entire sophomore year? Then they say his grades have slipped and tell him he has to sit out another year. Of course the kid is backed into a corner opts to transfer elsewhere. Once out of the ND bubble he's back on the mean streets of his home state and is murdered in a drive-by shooting. A very "catholic" gesture by ND in how they handled this kid.
  • What school suspends six minority football players weeks before the season due to a possible academic infringement and then investigates their situation so bureaucratically that the OJ Simpson trial looked speedy in comparison. In the aftermath only one of these kids ever recovered from this experience while the others were forever damaged by the allegations which destroyed their NFL stock or their ability to play one more year for ND.
  • Which school's establishment has become so arrogant in their need to control the football program that once had an international fan base comparable to the Yankees. However the establishment is so caught up in their perceived academic prowess that they spend the next 25 years minimizing football with straw men hires who are set up to fail. The ensuing result is the football program has yet to have a victory in a major New Year's Day game since 1993.
  • Finally what school produced an alum so corrupt and hypocritical that he's single handily gutted the economic condition of the entire state of IL. As the attached article shows you'll see that Illinois is the only state where the 1% so demonized by Democrats are actually all government employees of the Democrat party. This same alum then forces people to go to his law firm to get tax relief to ensure he stays rich and powerful and as legal way to launder money in his pockets. I'm not sure where in the bible this type of behavior was taught as ethical or moral by the Catholic Church.

I think it's time for the ND establishment and their enablers to do some soul searching if they ever want to be respected and loved by the masses again.

Football 1 Irish.............

OK, so how do you think Notre Dame will do this year in Miami Gardens, Florida in the Hard Rock Stadium formerly known as Joe Robbie Stadium, Pro Player Park, Dolphins Stadium, Land Shark Stadium and Sun Life Stadium vs. Miami? Please share your thoughts on the possible outcome of this game.
NOTE: Vegas has Miami listed as an 8 point favorite.

Interesting. How many times you going to mention that Miami is an 8 point favorite? You are definitely obsessive about cold- cocking ND any chance you get.

The subject referred to ND vs. Miami. Vegas odds are Miami -8.

Vegas odds for ND vs. Georgia are currently ND -2 1/2. Those are the odds currently and they may change as game times near.

The subject had nothing to do with Vegas odds. You inserted that all on your own . Any excuse at all to mention, once again, Miami 8 over ND. That has nothing to do with the original intent of the thread.

So, the original intent of the thread had nothing to do with ND and Miami playing in a football game this year. Jeez that's too bad............and on a Rivals board to boot.

How about less pontificating and more football talk?

For example: How do you think Elko will go after Miami's yet undetermined QB? Blitz? Play back? To what extent? Just some football talk, that's all.

How about less subtle jabs at ND and less kneeling at the altar of the ACC and more discussion about ND football without the letters ACC in your comments. How many times are you going to mention the vegas odds and the Miami/ND game? Five times? Ten times? fifteen times? We don't know what our coordinators will do at this point because they are still in the process of evaluating talent. Fall camp hasn't even started yet. The first game hasn't even been played.

Yes, this is a Rivals board, but you are a rival fan posting here. I used to post quite frequently on the Michigan board and Chant but knew how to use my manners and humor. I didn't have an agenda and definitely didn't try and poke the fan base or tell them what to post about.

Think you've been banned a couple of times from this board. Think common sense would tell you to tread lightly but then again, common sense isn't a strong suit of most
Nole fans. :D

How about those hair plugs of Jimbo Fisher, do you think they'll inspire the Nole defense?

Re: ND vs Miami

It's a Rivals platform. Go to Miami's Rivals site.........Canesport.com and look on the front page, "Opponent Preview Game 10 vs. Notre Dame" and look at all the things you could be talking about. When the game comes around why not be better informed and enjoy the game more? Just football talk.

Or, go to the Blue Gold front page and check out the articles in the Around the Conference section ( Yes, Blue Gold considers ND part of the Conference including lots of football talk) and the Trending section which is all football talk right now. See what is going on with the opponents.

Or go to theACC.com and check out ND as it is listed with all the other schools in the Conference along with photos, articles, videos, etc. All good stuff for a Rivals board devoted to sports talk.

Does the B&G front page have the Vegas odds for the Miami/ND game listed? I've been trying to get that info but I have had no luck so far.

If you want to talk about Miami, go to Chant and talk about the football game that involves Miami and FSU. Isn't FSU the team you root for?

It must grate on the poor guy that ND can do what they do in terms of the ACC. One measly, little college football team can use his beloved conference to house its non-football teams and all they have to do is play five of them a year (which ends up being the biggest, if not one of the biggest games for those 5 teams that season). I can see why he's so obsessed w/ our Irish. It's gotta get to the guy. Pisses him off so much that he can't help himself from being here 24/7 and bashing ND constantly, all the while hiding behind the BS that he wants to talk football. What a loser!
