Braden Lenzy

It saved us on the networks because they just showed it over and over. WIthout that grab they might have to tell people what happened in the game.

Good game for #0. … 8 wins with almost no contributions from 0 or 4 is kind of hard to believe. Just a little more offense and this team is 9-1 and with Jack Coan they are probably 10-0

From my observations of his play Braden doesn't seem to be a very instinctual receiver, nor does he have great hands, but give him credit, that was a simply incredible play. Watching the TD in real time I was amazed he scored, but then after seeing the replay I was even more impressed. Braden had beaten the Navy defender by 6-8 yards (as he frequently does) and it should have been an easy TD, but Pyne badly underthrew him. Somehow Braden was able to make lemonade from lemons. What a play he made.

Is it under thrown when that is as far as you can throw it? ;)

That was Lenzy's best game of his career. The catch on the sideline for only about 4 yards he went up, grabbed it and got drilled but hung on. He was open most times and made every catch.

That catch I dont even know how he got it. It look like he one handed a ball he didnt see and then pulled it around. One of the best catches I have ever seen in my life.

Game ball was to Lenzy. Without that miracle, we might not have won.

It was as late a throw as underthrown. If Pyne leads him and Lenzy catches it in stride, he would have caught it in the first row of seats.

He wasn’t open there when the ball arrived
That's the key - when the ball arrived. Has been one of the biggest DP issues - either throwing too late, throwing it when they aren't open, or occasionally finding that nut in the snowstorm and making a solid pass on a solid read. Forrest Gumping his way along for us this year.....

I want you all to remember a few years from now that you felt going back and forth on the skill/play of DREW PYNE was worth your time.

"Was that a back shoulder fade or another under thrown ball?"

Well under-thrown -- Lenzy had a 5 yard buffer on the defender and had to come back for the ball.
Pyne does not throw well on the run.

The guy has been wide open an awful lot this year. Unfortunately the QB doesn't see him or can't get him the ball
How would you know ?

The camera follows the ball not receivers ?

So how would you know when he was open when the ball was thrown to another receiver ?
