Good news that Botelho has a shot to play early next year. But this is similar comments that Raridon and Evans made going into their seasons post injury and they didn't look or play close to the same that year (this year for evans).

I watched the Indiana game again, man evans had a rough game (not just the drop and later fumble) but his blocking was terrible. He's just not himself this year post injury.

Edit - Traore just said he's on a similar timeline. Hopefully we get one of them that can be ready day one to make a big impact.

Both surprised and disappointed by Evan’s play against Indiana. I just think he’s really struggling mentally and lacks confidence in his knee.

Encouraging re both Botelho and Traore!

I’ve been so confused with Raridon’s usage. For a team that lacks receiving talent, we have a 6’6 5 star talent who can run past defensive backs. Yet he’s gotten maybe 15-20 targets all year?

Raridon just blows by the USC defender for his touchdown and looks like a blur on the screen. The dude is a mismatch in so many ways and I am truly baffled we haven’t targeted him on seams or corner routes.

Schematic advantage!

Yes, he was unsteady on multiple plays. Looks like it’s still tweaking him

I think that is giving him a pass. He was playing really well from fsu on. He had a bad game. Needs to play better

Both will be ready by game 1 unless they have a major setback. Expect at least 1 to be able to make big impact, probably Traore

Over 11 months of rehab to be back on the field isn't optimistic in today's world.

If it took longer than that, that would be abnormal.
Our two last examples of raridon and Evans… both were shells of themselves first season back

Raridon had 2 surgeries and we don't know if he was a shell of himself as we never seen him in college before his knee injury

And I can give dozens of examples of players who recovered just fine from knee injuries.

It would be very surprising if both weren't back by game 1

We agree he had a bad game. We frankly don’t know why. You’re suggesting it was just one of those bad days. Maybe. But to my eye, he looked tentative running his routes, catching the ball, and blocking. Either tentative or really lacking focus and effort. And yes, he needs to play a lot better…we need him to play a lot better.

So along with recruiting guru, master film evaluator, portal expert and backyard All American we can now add orthopedic surgery and physical therapy to the lengthy list of things you fantasize to have expertise but no practical experience in. Got it.

And many who didn't. They're not robots.

No just someone who can observe what happens every single year in sports. Not very hard to do

It's rare in today's time to take longer than 11 months coming back from a one injury for college and pro athletes.

They have become so good at these surgeries because there are so many of them and have pretty much perfected the surgeries and rehab process

It is usually a 6 to 9 month process for these athletes

There are exceptions but that is the norm now
