BK to LSU?

there are posts on TOS, including one by Loy; go back to yesterday, 1 day earlier, I gave a heads up.
Check with hill.bille.

the question s how did I have an inkling?

All I see are opinion pieces. Nothing even close to a fact based story that BK's people are talking to LSU. Nothing confirmed. No named sources. Nothing that I could find at least. Is this more wishful thinking by the "anti-BK" crowd to get him out of Dodge?

No there is an article up about BK being on the board, along with coach O and Jimbo Fisher.
Fisher is the number one target, but BK could be interested in leaving ND if he feels the walls closing in.

After they see the score of the ND/UOJ game they wont want Kelly. Jack is the only one who thinks Kelly can coach.

if Swarbrick has confirmation about Kelly's agent pursuing LSU, then good grief, what the hell! someone else leads ND out of the tunnel on Sat! is this a joke..

I already posted this in another thread but, regardless of anyone's personal feelings toward Kelly, does anyone really think he is a serious candidate for the LSU job? According to the article, Kelly seems to be 4th in consideration behind Jimbo, Orgeron, and Herman but that Kelly "would definitely entertain the call" if it comes. Does anyone think that Kelly or any coach would leak out interest in a job knowing they might be 4th in line at best? And really, who thinks he would even be 4th in line? I gotta believe LSU has several candidates beyond the 3 listed they would pursue before Kelly. That article reeks of the kind of B.S. speculation we see this time of year. I don't believe the author actually has a credible source.

Why in the world would LSU replace a coach with a NC and no losing seasons(Miles) with a coach that has no NC and after 7 seasons posts a 4-8 season record.

Kelly, at this point in time, isn't good enough to be a candidate. I don't see LSU wanting him.

And what the hell is your problem with me? Making fun of my handle by changing it? What exactly is your deal?

that was definitely not an intentional slight! I would not deliberatly do that to you. You are a long time and respected by me, poster. My abbreviation was inadvertent if it offended you.
regret that it was interpreted in that way.

I think BK would do fine at LSU (like he did at Cinci), but I don't think he'd compete for SEC championships unless Saban leaves. Which means I don't think he'd do any better than Miles did!

Will anybody be able to compete with Saban and Bama?

"Sportsbeat" has said that this rumor is not true. Eric Hansen talked to the source of the alleged article and the writer claims he never wrote the piece. They couldn't even find a link.

IMO, ND is better off without him. The last time BK got a job interview in his mind was when ND got shellacked by Alabama. He's always had one eye open to leaving. Let go and move on is my thought.

Maybe Kelly just wants out of coaching . He's spent. If he quits, no paychecks. Gets fired.....

I remember his smug ass came out after the NC game and dragged Te'o and Harrison Smith (?) with him to the coaches interview. He wouldn't take any heat and kept Diaco away - he had the players explain why ND lost.

That is when I lost respect for him for the first time. When I found out he was interviewing for an NFL job the next day I felt ashamed. Goodbye and good riddance, BK, you have never been a man in my eyes.

It is probably BK's agent letting the world know that he's open to moving on.

I'd be shocked if LSU hired him.

Can you imagine how quickly the AD would be fired if he brought in a coach who went 4-8 or 5-7 in his 7th year at a school with more money than God and fired the native Cajun beloved by the team and went 7-4 in a hamstrung year without his own staff? I would never in a MILLION years make that move. I'd go with some Group of 5 or FCS coach who was successful first.

It would have been nice to have Harrison Smith on that squad. Maybe it would have been a little closer.

LSU wants Fisher and it will probably happen. LSU is a great coaching job. LSU is tired of having a crappy offense and wants someone who can remedy that.

That will open up Florida St?

I get the feeling that Kelly is worn out and wants a change and a change would probably be good for Kelly and ND.

Why would he leave for LSU ? He has a better job----same money----much easier league.
