Did anybody see his excuse for this call instead of trying the kick for a 41 yd field goal? Another terrible decision in a 3-3 game when your kicker just hit a 40 yd field goal a series earlier.
Sorry if this was mentioned already

Oh, I thought he said something in particular. I didn't see the post game presser. Kicking was the right thing to do but even that wasn't a sure thing. I'm really puzzled on why there was not a contingency offense using MZ if the weather was going to be bad, which, oddly enough, they knew it was going to be bad early in the week. I really think BK jumped the shark yesterday, even with his biggest supporters.

Bingo. You are exactly right. There really didn't seem to be a contingency plan at all. NC St. clearly had some alternative formations and approaches already to go. ND was clueless. And, that, my friends is coaching; not player performance.

he said that the previous kick made him nervous because it was so low.He was worried that at 1 yard farther back the kicked maybe blocked and returned for a score.

BK common core math
4th and 1 kick the fg
4th and 12 from 1 yard farther back go for it.

He said they didn't kick it because of how low the previous kick was, so they didn't want to risk a block.

Kind of strange though, because we had made the other one. And with the way the passing game was going, 4th and 12 was more like 4th and 42.
