As I predicted..And thoughts.

I'll never forget Lou running out on the field and grabbing a players facemask all the way back to the sidelines. Funny as hell actually. As I recall the guy had gotten into a shoving match w/ a MSU player. I still laugh thinking of little Lou who was about 1/4 of the size of that guy yanking his facemask. Different times

You say coaching mistakes were made but you give no examples of the alleged mistakes. Then you accuse me of being "general".

That's called being hypocritical. Then you say I made "predictions" I answered a question from a poster, I did not make a prediction. Thats called being wrong. Now if me being a coach and sharing football offends you or offends your delicate football forum sensibilities? That sounds like you have some unresolved personal problems. Since I'm not Dr. Phil I'm going put you on ignore as well.
FLballcoach 1 -- anyone who questions the coaching ability of Brian Kelly is flawed when it comes to analyzing football . The guy just about willed his team to an undefeated season , if that makes him a target for criticism I would suggest those taking shots are characterless drones who know nada

Ha
I was asked by Irish44 what I thought ND,s plan on defense was going to be.

1. I thought ND would play 40/Over Under and Bear Fronts. And they did.
2. I thought ND would play both safeties close enough to get involved with the run on 1st and 2nd down. And they did.
3. I said with both safeties down, the corners would get no help and with Russell out that was a problem. And it was.
4. I said ND would try and make Hogan beat them and not McCaffery. And they did
5. I thiught the game would come down to 3rd down defense and explosion plays. And if ND could play close to their 28% Third Down Defense and keep Stanford to 3 explosions or less the could hold Stanford to 27 or less. They did not grade well in those areas and gave up 38.

Speaking as a coach losing a,game like that whether it's Pop Warner, Jr High, HS, College or Pro. You feel AWFUL for the players who played with maximum effort.

The worst part is having to listen to dishonest vulgar criticisms from crayon eating buffoons whom you know have never played or coached a snap of football in their lives. Whether it's know it all parents, boosters, media or some wannabe Internet coach/big man hiding anonymously behind keyboard.

The vile that is spewed from certain posters on this board cgvr, smelly karen, turnover machine is disgusting. As a grown man I could care less what some gutless coward with ZERO football knowledge has to say.But to say that garbage about players and coaches who spill their guts on a daily basis is really pathetic.

My question is if any of our resident agitation experts were to be standing face to face with Brian Van Gorder, Isaac Rochelle, Cole Luke or Brian Kelly. Would they still be big men and tough guys ? Or would they slink away and go back under the rock they crawled out from and continue posting anonymous garbage?

I think we all know the answer. The three chodes that I mentioned are now on permanent ignore and I would encourage the many, many quality posters to do the same. Congrats to ND on a fantastic season BTW!!!!!

Have not heard anyone use chode in like forever. I thought I was the only guy left.

The purple one has had some good moments. I think winning the music city bowl is his biggest bowl victory in 6 years. Do you agree? It's a tremendous accomplishment. Struggling versus rutgers in the pinstripe was good too. He may add the Peach this year!!! Imagine that! His going for 2 and failing against Stanford was one fg range drive from making a one score game a 2 score game. 38-29 would have been a crusher... kelly sucks at math, he sucks in the red zone and his biggest bowl win to date sucks.
Now let's discuss your buddy's suggestion that Kizer would be a top 5 NFL draft pick this year. If you guys were true fans that knew anything surely he'd be the first pick, but that would mean bumping Jaylon..... yep, you guys know football. Aren't you due to get bounced again?
Kizer is a fabulous talent and there is no reason he can't track towards first round territory.... He has to stay healthy. He has to beat out Zaire/Wimbush....

I can remember watching Lou practically punch an asst. coach that got on the field to set up an extra point when he wanted to go for two. And, wasn't it Urban Meyer who blew up on a reporter a few years ago while he was still at UF? Not trying to say they are wrong but coaches do that sometimes. It's easy to sit back and keep score...it's a whole other thing to be in the line of fire. I respect those living in the line of fire much more than those that sit back and critique.

I respect guys like Walsh, Wooden, Dungy....and have been fortunate to spend significant time on multiple occasions with the first 2. I was never a big fan of Lou and thought we should have had more ncs under his watch. Plus, his grad rate had dropped into the 70's. I could care less who you respect.

Not saying I don't respect you - you sure seem to be in the 'line of fire' on this board...lol ;)

Please go root for another team. You made the coaches point for him. Intelligent constructive criticism is obviously not something you are capable of. Just curious how old are?......................does momma still have a bunk bed for you in her basement?

You obviously did not learn much from any of them. At lease when it comes to class.

Our discussions were quite personal, reminiscent and fun.

Calling yourself "dbldomr" is a rather ambitious lie. "At lease when it comes to class." Huh?

Speaking of classy....
