Huge problem it wasn't the first time. Heard people were VERY unhappy with his lack of self control in 2011. Now they are PISSED OFF. That is not acceptable behavior for a ND head Coach. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. The PTB were not fooled again. Kelly is in the cross-hairs.

Pennick - do you ever watch other teams play ? Like Stanford, Univ.Wa., Alabama, T.C.U., Mich St., Mich, etc. teams that actually play "hard nosed football" w/ very little mistakes. Teams w/ solid game plans. Teams w/ solid Special Teams. Teams that play solid defense w/ sound tackling fundamentals ? Teams that can actually "run" the ball w/ consistency and score in the Red Zone ? Teams that don't waste timeouts ? have you ever watched a well coached team and wondered - How come ND's team can't do all those things consistently ?
What do you see when you watch a ND team coached by BK ?
BK stated on a conference call today or whatever it was that he decided to let BVG go. He never mentioned consulting with Jack. He stayed positive at the post game presser because that was not the time to give any hint that BVG was going to be let go. Those are his statements, not mine.

We still have 8 or 9 games to go here. A lot can happen between now and Thanksgiving, or later if we are playing in a bowl game. I think it was obvious to everyone with eyes that we had serious defensive issues, and were not consistently producing to the level of our talent. The head coach situation is a lot more complex. And yes, we are highly highly unlikely to fire a head coach midseason, unless of course we find out he's interviewing with U Dub on the sly.
I agree there are serious defensive issues the offense and special teams also put the defense in a bad situation with turnovers
Just look at the MSU game and then the Duke game. The problems are just not on the defensive side of the ball

Yes. ND is letting the guy who took them to a NY day bowl last year, brought millions into the university, a top 5 class now and lost 10 players to the NFL go. Makes perfect sense.
