7th UGA player

I believe that is the program that we want Notre Dame to become.
It wouldn't have to be that way. You just spend a ton of money on players that would qualify, and meet the standard. And you get everybody you want that way. Or that's the idea.

I would bet if you took a silent poll on the matter and nobody put their name behind their vote...

there's probably a lot more that simply would vote yes in taking those bad headlines for all the good headlines.

Listen...

I would take an arrest or two if we can just simply get a QB that throws the ball more than 40 yards, is a little more accurate than a six foot radius, and god forbid....CLEARING MY THROAT...GOD FORBID...
a QB that THROWS THE BALL DOWN THE DAMN FIELD.

If you can give me a QB like that just once a decade I'll deal with a few arrests here and there. Just once a decade. At this point that would be significantly more frequent than once per quarter of a century.

Sad days we're living here boys that we just can't get a QB..
AT NOTRE DAME.
The most important position and we can't recruit one and or lure one in the star trek portal that isn't another team's table scraps.

We get good linemen and TE's though so there's always that. You know...those game breaking TE's! YAY!!!

Cool story. So a program has 28 tickets or arrests since January 2023 but you bring up one guy who committed a heinous crime well after leaving ND not while he was there. Kinda like blaming USC for OJ. Lame

Correction.

That is the program Chase wants ND to become.

Ignore academics; ignore transgressions, etc. Just win at all costs.
I don't really care, ND's going to do what they're going to do. Or rather I do care, and I want us to be an annual playoff contender very much. And as far as recruiting goes, I don't want ND to sell its soul, I don't even consider it a practical approach, and more importantly ND is not going to do that in any event. What ND could do though, is use their financial might such as it is to aggressively improve and really maximize their recruiting success on the players they do want and are good program fits. Which is not the same thing as selling your soul at all. But would involve a more commercial commitment to their own success, which they're happy to do when it comes to enriching their own coffers, but still seemingly reluctant when it comes to the players getting their share, even though it would absolutely help them win more, which in turn would bring in even more money presumably.

But maybe they're already doing all that, and maxing out everything they have to offer.
