2002 ND v USC

calling pete carroll an "unknown" when usc hired him is further proof that you continue to be the least informed, most illogical poster here.
As I have said, unknown may me the arong word. He is an unknown within the college ranks because he was never a head coach and the last time he was ever any type of coach was 17 years before he was hired at USC. His record as a pro coach was 33-31 so it was not like he was very successful in the NFL. You are the uniformed one.

carroll took/begged for the southern cal job knowing his career was floundering. He then set about to break and allow the team to break every rule under the sun... He allowed known felons, felon agents and other thugs unfettered access to practices, the locker room other team venues.... He then got out of dodge when the ax was about to fall...... also, he flat out lied to the NCAA and said that compliance had cleared his extra coach. He expected them to take the fall for him because he is as seedy as they come. Well, southern cal compliance said he was s full of sh**...... welcome to pete carroll's world of b.s. cheating...

everyone in the football world knew who pete carroll was before he got the usc job. twist your verbage any way you'd like. it was still, as usual an uninformed, poorly thought out statement.

Nope. You are wrong.

You are off on most of your points. I am friends with people connected to the program. He did want to get back into coaching and he did kind of pitch usc on what he would do. But he was already very well off. He coached for a bad franchise in the jets. And then he took the pats to 2 playoff games. Before that he was a very well respected dc in the nfl. And he came from a very powerful coaching tree. You are incorrect in your other responses. And by the way, I have a law grad degree from nd. So don't just start calling me names and tell me to go back to my board.
