2 bye weeks

Strange they are so close together. I think ND should use this one as a rest and recover. Very mental break. Especially with the fall break period. The one after Clemson put in more work as far as on field stuff.

I think its crunch time on the books for them.....probably more pressure than a big game

We don’t play OSU next year. Currently it appears our 2 byes are before Stanford and USC next season.

Knowing how to balance a team so that they do not have big letdowns is a tough one.
Even many top coaches fail there.

The worst letdown I remember is the 93 game with BC right after we had beaten FSU in a nail biter.

Maybe only 1 -- in looking at the 2024 schedule -- ND only has 11 games scheduled --

So, if ND has 2 byes next year, they may only play 11 games

There are three open dates on the schedule and 11 games. So ND has room for one more game plus two bye weeks. Id use the week before Stanford and the week before FSU. But it might be whoever they can get. You never know it might be another FCS team... i'm sure that'll go over well.

What are the rules for week 0? Could they play a game before Texas A/M then have three byes? Would that be a long year? Although I guess they're doing it this year. with the potential for a new face at QB. A tune up game week 0 and multiple byes would be tremendous for his growth. I believe if you play at Hawaii or Overseas you can do it. I also believe if you play an FCS team you can as well. It is looking more and more like that's gonna be the case. So maybe go week 0.
