I think it’s unfortunate that the playoffs are getting expanded, especially so soon. 12 seems to create a good amount of drama. Only Oregon really feels safe right now and I like that. You have some good teams that will be left out and are sweating right now. A 9-1 #1 or #2 team can probably lose their last two and not worry too much about making it with 16 teams. Boring.
Well stated.

2026 SMU Replacing Virginia

Was this expected? Did the ACC say that the three newcomers would shuffle into our 5 game commitment? For a conference we grafted onto we seem to have a lot of questions.

ND now has games against Texas schools in 2026, 2028 and 2029. Should help our recruiting in a state known for producing football talent.
We've been saying this since the 2015-16 Texas series was announced but where are the players?

Florida State

I'll be at the FSU game.

I'm going with a former player, and I guess we're gonna be on the field before kick-off. He's saying that he's got it all set up through the Monogram Club. We'll see. I've never been on the field, but it would be the thrill of a lifetime for me.

Either way, I'm pumped.

Let's handle FSU, then we've got 3 games left to go get. We're gonna have to play great to beat USC in LA.

CFP committee vs the F+ Top 12

BTW I feel like the CFP committee will have a good idea of who the best teams are by the end of the regular season (so this isn't really a knock on the CFP committee perse), but I think F+ is a bit ahead of the CFP committee in figuring out who the best teams are, which is why the current Top 12 in F+ in week 10 is a good idea of what the final CFP committee's top 12 might look like by the end of the season.
No it won't. F+ has 6 sec teams and that's not happening. And it has no big12 or non p4

So it's not even close to what it will be in the end

2026 SMU Replacing Virginia

Virginia is playing two FCS teams but they’re playing West Virginia at a neutral site.

2026 FSU has Alabama, Florida, and Notre Dame OOC. Yikes.

Props to Clemson for playing South Carolina every year in addition to Notre Dame, LSU, or Georgia pretty much every year.

CFP committee vs the F+ Top 12

Just me or does the top 12 in F+ look like a legit playoff with the best ~12 or so teams in the country vs that of the CFP playoff committee's top 12? I'd be way more interested in seeing how F+'s tournament bracket would play out than that of the official CFP committee's top 12/playoff bracket this year.

I feel like too many good teams are being penalized too severely for losses in really competitive games vs really competitive conference opponents and its going to start incentivizing programs to schedule more watered down seasons vs crap opponents to pad the W-L record and avoid potential losses on the final record.

PS I apologize for the poor formatting, just did some quick copy and paste jobs to get the information in one place.

Florida State

Making my way down for the game.....well to visit ND, the Bookstore, Fiddler's Heath, The Linebacker, O'Rourke's, Band at Bond Hall and who knows possibly Rocco's. No tickets yet.....though expecting them to come down in price as seriously.......FSU sucks.

Disappointed their is no more Trumpets UNDER the Dome....also disappointed they charge $10.00 to walk down the tunnel on Friday.......a cash grab for a University that does not need the money......also after visiting the Big House earlier this year.......it's time to introduce beer to the masses and not just the swanky, warm, closed in areas.

Go Irish!
Awesome. You left out corbys
