Anybody else pumped for another game vs an ACC cupcake that should be over by the end of the second quarter?

I sincerely hope Notre Dame has something more in store for its fans than another 12 game slate like this next season/ into the future with this hybrid ACC membership. It's the gift that keeps on giving
Well this is Ludacris.

CFP Rankings

I think 16 is the sweet spot. If you arent one of the top 16 then you don't deserve to be in it. That just couldn't be said when there were only 4 teams in it(seemed like 6 or 8 teams could be deserving). I don't think it cheapens the season at all, you still have to win as many games as you can, plus you are playing for seeding. Much easier to be a 3 seed(home) and play 14 then it is to be a 8(home) playing a 9. I am SO looking forward this 12 team playoff, 16 is even better. Its going to be exciting. By the way, nothing more exciting then NCAA mens BB tourney.
Tend to agree with your overall take. However, I do think it lessens the importance of winning each and every game. In a 16 team playoff format, we can afford two losses and probably be guaranteed a spot…much less likely in the current 12 game format, etc…. And yes, the NCAA Tourneys are exciting as hell, and the same would be true of a 16 playoff format for football.

Playoff Atmosphere at Notre Dame Stadium

I might give a few comments on why there is supposedly less noise now than when I went to ND in the 1960's (when it was still a tough all boy school). In my opinion (for what it is worth) the jumbotron, for example, while much appreciated, also helps turn many non-student fans into spectators rather than people interested in making noise in between plays when it is most needed. In addition, the roving reporter while doing a job, also helps turn the stadium into more like a minor league baseball park with all the added entertainment and reduced noise from the fans. Finally, coordination between the band, jumbotron and roving reporter are still not good. The time when you really need noise is when the opposing team is lining up to run a play. This we get in games that matter.
Don't other stadiums have those same obstacles? As far as the band goes, they play right up to the time on the play clock they are allowed to and then stop. I think that is pretty much the same everywhere.

I think the reason for the lack of noise is largely because of the open bowl shape of the stadium — Add an upper deck, especially on both sides, and it's going to get much louder quickly — and the relative small size of the student body.

I remember it being plenty loud at the Michigan game in 1988 and that was when the stadium held fewer than 60,000 people. I did not see the Miami game that year, but it sure as hell sounded loud on TV. I've been to so few games since moving out of the Midwest in the late 80s that I really can't comment on how the noise levels from those games I cited compare with today.

USC QB Miller Moss Rumored To Transfer Portal.

This feels like some kind of excuse or scapegoating from Riley by benching him. 30/50 with 3 picks. One of those might not have been Moss’ fault.

I’m also not a fan of this being out there right now. It’s either made up by someone, or Moss has let this slip to the detriment of his team. It’s an unnecessary distraction. Just finish the regular season at least and then announce.

USC QB Miller Moss Rumored To Transfer Portal.

Moss has had an up-and-down year, with 18 TDs and 9 interceptions and a mediocre 135.1 QB rating. But I'm glad Riley's making the change now, so there are a few games of film on Maiava before we play them. That'll help Golden prepare a gameplan. However, the downside of that is he'll play a few games and get more experience before he plays us. So I guess it goes both ways.

Czar's Bar - Florida State Game

I dont drink anymore on account of chronic headaches. So I'll go a lil crazy...
I'll start off with a refreshing Barrellhouse Big Sur double IPA.
Then a halftime I want a glass of Biale zinfandel.
Then finish it off with writer's tears irish whiskey. Cask strength of course.

ND 45
FSU 10
Since you mentioned IPA, I’ll go with that.

ND 42
FSU 13

I’m also going to predict that ND ends up with the 7 seed. 6 is my second choice.
