I have always loved the traditional blue and gold. Such a timeless and classic look. But I also understand and acknowledge that I am both old and old fashioned. I see the world differently than an 18-22 year old. If a different color--be it black or midnight blue--gets the team to play on Friday night with a little extra pep in their step and fire in their bellies, then what is the harm? I wouldn't want it to become a commonplace thing, but this game will be an historic first for a football team and a university that has a history second to none. Let's just win the game.
