Even with the 27-3 score, all IU needed was the 2 point conversion to make it a one score game (27-19). An onside kick recovered and a first down gave them a chance for a hail mary to cut the lead to two. A two point conversion ties. While very improbable, that’s not a zero chance.Again, it was 27-3 at the two minute warning. The game was over period. Your what if's don't mean sh1t. Stop embarrassing yourself stating the game was still in question when it was not. It was over period. IU had zero chance of mounting a comeback.
BS. I went there several times and there was less coverage than any other team.We had all day Friday and Saturday morning on there.
Osu is gelling when they lost their last regular season game? Not to say that they can’t win it, they can. But this sounds a lot like when that ahole saban was talking about how his team transformed over the season when they needed a miracle Hail Mary to beat a 6-6 team that lost to n Mexico st the week before. Again, osu is good enough to win it, but unless it only takes one game to gel and peak, they’re not carrying a winning streak into the playoffs. W/ all that said, they’re dangerous.
Ohio state is the most talented team in the country. When they are clicking, look out.OSU did look SPECIAL. The game was about 85% NON-COMPETITIVE.
Nope, USC almost pulled it off, TAM never had a chanceLooking back at the season, Texas A@M was. USC was 2.
Your statement is inaccurateThe NFL plays all their playoff games at a teams home field except the Super Bowl. Why should college be any different?
Again, it was 27-3 at the two minute warning. The game was over period. You’re the one saying the game was over. I get to play the what if game because I’m not the one claiming the game was never in doubt. In order to demonstrate that the game was in doubt, it’s necessary to play the what if game. I’ve said multiple times that the odds were slim, but that’s not good enough for you.
I brought up the Oklahoma State game because you said, “The game was never in question except maybe the first series of the game”.
I’m going to move on from this conversation.
You have no personal knowledge of the man, I do. My comment was about his character, not whether he wins or loses. Character matters to me, must not to you. Suggest you read more closely before you feel the need to say ‘WTF’ to another poster. It's totally working for him. He just took a nothing non-football school IU program and went 11-1 and made the 12 team playoff with a bunch of 1-AA players in his first effin' season. Whatever he's doing is absolutely working. In fact, chances that MF could pull off the same feat is absolutely dead stone zero. And I'm pretty sure he's the consensus national coach of the year, sweeping all the various awards.
So WTF on god's blue-green earth are you talking about??
OSU did look SPECIAL. The game was about 85% NON-COMPETITIVE.I know.
I've been saying for a while there is no standout team. But I may be wrong. We all might have been...as college football is emotional as well as analytical, where even stacked teams don't get it all right.
Like I keep saying, Ohio State might just in time be getting it all right...looked scary last night. Against a solid Volunteers team too. I looked at the Tennessee message board...and most acknowledged the talent gap.
Ohio State is pushing the next level in this evolutionary arms race. It dawned on me that the Belichick move is giving them ideas if Day doesn't come through. They will find a pro young coach to take this to the next level.
He has had one really good season. Are you going to crown him? Let's see what he does next year. It's totally working for him. WTF are you talking about? MF is a better coach than Cignetti. It's totally working for him. He’s finally made it to the big leagues (google me) and thinks that his dickness will work in Bloomington. The act will wear out soon (although they did adore the biggest dick head coach in college sports) so maybe the good Indiana fans like dicks.
So two loss Tennessee losing to Ohio State by more than Indiana proves the SEC should have had 3 loss teams in?Really?
#8 Ohio St. is favored in Las Vegas over #1 Oregon.
ACC champion Clemson was 0-3 versus the SEC, including losing at home in game 12 to non playoff South Carolina.
Indiana…..who played a pathetically weak schedule, SMU, and Clemson IMO weren’t amongst the 12 best teams in CFB.
Geez, tell us how you really feel. IU did have a basketball coach by the name of Knight who was astonishingly abhorrent in how he treated people, but he did win some games. Maybe that's the thinking with hiring Cignetti.Cignetti is a dick, pure and simple. He coached locally at Elon and he was a prick from day one.
