Hi all. Anthony Dasher from UGASports here…Just sticking my head in the door. Going to be a helluva game….

…and I’ve got no clue how it’s going to go.
Watched Notre Dame a few times this year, obviously all of the win over Indiana and was hugely impressed.
Georgia has historically scuffled against QBs who can extend plays with their legs. And that’s a huge concern with Riley.
Of course, Gunner Stockton is the story here. Tough kid, teammates love him, but his first start on this stage against this opponent? He truly is a wildcard.
Anyway, if you have any questions about Georgia, feel free to ask.
You’ve got a great guy running this site in Tyler.

Pandora's box would be easier than this mess...

Spoiled brats ? Are they not entitled to what the market will bear just like you and I ? It's not their fault the NCAA bungled this entire situation for years. Their malfeasance is to blame for the current landscape of college athletics not the athletes.
There needs to be structure. Currently there are no contracts, and they can hit the portal every year if they want. College athletics needs contracts which would limit transfers.

Probably not that simple. However , they want a pay day and feel they are entitled to make as much as they can. Ok. That’s fine. But you sign an agreement and whatever is in it you as a player have to adhere to it. No exceptions. Scholarships mean nothing. They aren’t a binding agreement. It just seems to me the players want whatever they can get with no restrictions. Professional players don’t even get that.
They?
It's a team sport and the few make the money

Sorry but this is nothing like "opportunities available to other students.". The players' earnings value is 100% derived from their football play and not available to any other student.
Some players are making hand over fist through the productions of other player
Case in point a great o-line makes the offensive ball handlers millions while receiving nowhere near that amount, and they don't even have to attend classes

I feel like it will be a close game. We have a qb with little experience. He does hold the Georgia high school passing records, w over 11000 yards. He’s also a runner.
This team has not dominated games, like others in recent years. They have found a way to barely win games. When they are clicking, they can play with anyone. UGA has also been dealing w injuries all season. More than any Kirby team. Other than our QB, we are more healthy than we have been for any game this season. I expect a close game.
Cheers to you all and go Dawgs.

DRD, thanks for stopping by and providing us with your thoughts. Like you, I expect the Sugar Bowl to be a close game which is to be expected considering the prior three games the two schools have played. How about the two schools getting together for another home and home in the near future?

The D has lost a lot of key players. So I understand why their fans feel the way they do. Plus Christian Gray gets burned a lot. RL will have to come up big in the passing game to win. He's gonna have to take his game up a notch. I would run the ball at their D to try to wear them down. If we try to pass a lot on 1st and 2nd down it could be a long night.

Good points. As to injuries, ND nevertheless is tasked to show it is deep. Which is the mark of an elite team.

I ponder who has it worse with injuries. ND across the board with some key ones? Or Georgia with their starting QB?

Right now I think it hurts ND more, especially Mills. But then I ask myself: how would ND be if the others were healthy, but RL went down?

ND in my opinion would be in deep trouble without RL at this point. I don't believe a good but not great Irish offense could be very effective if we lost him last game of the season.

Suffice it to say, I am growing more confident in the Irish vs Georgia. Saban says QB Stockton is a good runner but not great passer. If true, and I am not expert, but I'm thinking ND stacks the box and dares him to win with his arm against an excellent ND secondary.

We will see.

I attended the 2019 ND-UGA in Athens. The Georgia fans I encountered were very gracious and hospitable. Here’s hoping for an injury-free game.
