Army - CFP

FPI thinks higher of ND (has them ranked #4) than F+ does and FPI has NDs chances at "winning out" (based on their 20,000 simulations) at 58% (that's only a bit better than a coin flip)

I'd like that number to be a bit higher considering the competition in these next 2 games isn't all that great but it is what it is
USC is going to be a tougher game than Army. It's at USC, a rivalry game, and USC can play spoiler and end ND's playoff aspirations. USC has a lot to play for. The things your little mind can't comprehend because you only look at computer models. Army does as well, but let's be realistic, the talent disparity is enormous. Army played no one of significance, ND should win this by a wide margin.

I think we've all known that for about 2 months or so.....

He's still played great this year, and he's got us in the hunt for a deep playoff run.
I agree with you. My concern, and I've pointed it out most of the year, is how is the offense going to perform when they go up against a legitimate top tier defense that's going to force 2nd and 3rd and long.

Interesting. Maybe the competition is weak, they lead the nation in just about every defensive stat even bettering ND. Their OL is up for the Joe Moore award.

I hope you’re right! I will never forget 93, BC, cruising into our 2nd natty. Then we were not. Let’s hope they are not thinking about USC!
My fear is this game takes an emotional and physical toll going long into the night and they are not fully ready next week. USC has a very emotional game this week though. 2 in a row for them.
