Ranked when you played? Or seasons end?

So when an undefeated team ranked # 2 loses to Notre Dame in game three of the season and their spectacular QB has a season ending injury on the last play of the game and they lose three more games, and end up ranked in the 40s at the end of the season, you think that our SOS should be based on the end of season rankings
Please cite all of the examples of the above. Then, compare them to FSU, Michigan, Utah, Okie St, etc from just this season.

Which of the following is more appropriate about a ‘84 MNC BYU opponent:
- Pitt had a temporary #3 ranking
- Pitt had a 3-7–1

Portal QB’s

No doubt ? The staple of the offense is read option. You lose that with Angeli. Yes he's a more accurate passer but he's also a statue back there and the inconsistency up front most of the season would have been problematic. Hardly no doubt. Maybe they don't lose to NIU but I doubt they beat A&M without Leonard's running ability.
I meant to say Angeli is more accurate; you're right. I was going 90 miles a minute on my iphone.

I don't think they beat A&M in week 1 with Angeli but I believe they could now that this O Line has greatly improved.

I just think ND wasted half this season getting a newby ready in a new scheme and if they could get some more cohesiveness think of how much better they'd be by halfway through the season..

Underwood to Michigan

I know, and let the BK bashing begin. And of all places, the worst shitshow of a passing offense in CFB. That must have been the pitch. Let's cut the bullshit, this is about the money, and that's all it's about. No one would come here to play QB. But, since Michigan is so bad, so weirdly bad at QB, he can be a sure thing frosh starter. That's probably part of the deal. And he'll just go from there and hope for the best. Take the money and run. With the original plan being to go to LSU and become the next Jayden Daniels, more or less. And not the next JJ McCarthy.

But as far as ND fans are concerned, this is a big blow for LSU football, so let's crack open the beers!

Five-star QB Bryce Underwood flips from LSU to Michigan

Michigan pulled it off. Five-star QB Bryce Underwood has flipped his commitment to the Wolverines. A huge loss for Brian Kelly and LSU. Notable for Notre Dame fans, because WR target Derek Meadows could follow Underwood to Michigan.
