You're Welsome

Nice win. I wonder if Utah needs to lose another for ND to jump them. If they go 12-1 and win the Pac 12, they may jump ND -- even though ND beat USC

I welcome the USC win but I am not exactly celebrating either. It's a necessary evil. That's what's so great about college football. The greatest sport of them all. You just might have to cheer for your most hated rival at some point to help your own cause. Then, you absolutely need all your opponents to win as many games as possible. Every week means something, even if your team has a bye. It was a rather nice relaxing Saturday watching USC win and FSU lose. Not too shabby.

Gotta give Helton credit. The Trojans are playing hard. Too bad Helton has no chance of keeping the job.

So, who is in line for the job. Things have been very quiet.
too soon to tell. Stopps. Herman, Fuente, are some of the names along with Harbaugh (John), Kelly, etc. I think we probably get a currnet college guys rather than an NFL, but it is all just guesses at this point. Frankly I don't think Haden knows yet. He is still doing homewordk (I hope).

Which Stoops? Bob or Mark?

FU. ND doesnt need UOJ. Temple and Pitt are ranked higher than the used Trojans. ND wins out beating Stanford and they are in.

I can't see a Utah going 12-1. If they do, there would be two games from which to compare them to ND - games against USC and Stanford. If the assumption is that ND goes 11-1, they will have beaten both USC and Stanford. Utah will have gotten blown out by USC and beaten Stanford. That, to me, is an easy call to make.

Beach......not sure how....but you are slurring your words on a computer.......kudos for a first.....:)

How in the Sam Hill would anyone on this message board know who the next USC HC will be? Unless Pat Haden is posting here under an assumed name. We all know the names that are being thrown around. Some unrealistic. Some a maybe. Just like the ND opening, many coaches will have their agents throw their name out their just to create leverage at their current university. They really had no wanting to be in South Bend and USC is no different. Only Pat Haden and maybe a couple other close associates actually know who is on the short list. No one here has any inside info on anything, so I guess we all just play the name game just like everybody else.

The "word" is that Haden needs a big name to keep his job. few think the boosters will stand for Helton. Haden needs to raise 350,000 for the Coli upgrade. Hard to do with angry boosters. Plus his last inside hire failed.
The program can't afford to make a bad hire again.
More important than Haden's job.

I have no hatred for SC. I have a strong dislike on game days. I personally like the annual rivalry games.
I am hoping for a solid hire that makes it a great rivalry in the future. Just not sure that until Haden is gone that happens.
