Not everyone can live up to the expectations and high standards of some of the regulars. So, the ignore button was invented. Keeps the riff raff out of private conversations among friends. If everyone one of the regulars used ignore, there would be about 10-15 contributors and the rest would be living in Outsville.

Well, in this instance I am referencing ignoring a poster whose only intent is/has been to flame.
So, it worked well. I can see your point about a potential "clique" situation. Hopefully, that kind of exclusion won't happen as it would be detrimental...
