Not happy at all, but when you are 3-5 after 8 games that's the reality of the situation. You can pout about it or you can figure out how to go 1-0 next Saturday to get to 4-5. I guess fans have the option of thinking "big picture" and chucking the season after we are out of contention for the playoffs. But the team or the program doesn't have that option, it's 100% all about figuring out how to beat Navy. And that would be no different if we were 0-8. We have "fans" so caught up in the big picture that they can't get any enjoyment out of beating a team who is right near the top of our rival list, a team that hates us. Beating Miami in football is like beating Duke in basketball, it feels good no matter what kind of team they have or season they are having. So are we feeling good about winning a game? Hell no, the Kelly hater group runs to the message board to try and head off any possible positive feelings about a win on Saturday, almost like they are disappointed that the team didn't go along with their narrative. This board is only slightly less a buzz kill after a win as it is after a loss.
