I don’t know why people meltdown anymore. As someone else posted in another thread I am so used to this it doesn’t even bother me anymore. This program doesn’t want to join modern college football and that’s fine just stop acting like you do so the fans can just come to grips with it that ND is like the service academies, no longer relevant in college football. However, that won’t happen cause they still want the money.
No it’s not. Relax. It’s bad but APp state was FCS at the time. Marshall is a good football team. But that’s not an excuse for this loss

Watching the Irish lose games like this and be embarrassed by programs that have a legit shot at winning a title. As far as the relevant statement I’m referring to going forward. ND doesn’t want to do things the way modern college football is doing it and again that’s fine. That’s their choice.

Rees needs to go, BK should have never hired him. I was opposed to it then, and it's just reinforced what I thought. He's been schooled by opposing DC's over and over again. he clearly isn't that great of a QB coach. i gave Rees the benefit of the doubt, because of Kelly, but that's over, he needs to be gone.
That's actually a great point you made about ND not wanting to do things the way modern college football is doing it. This football program is 100% living in the past, from its facilities, it's refusal to join a conference, and even the uniforms. The top players do NOT care about the past. No wonder we can't recruit any better than a MAC level QB.

It’s not a coincidence that when there is a committed or strong lean 5* player when they start taking visits to schools like Bama, Georgia, OSU, etc. they de-commit or started leaning towards other schools.

The football program was one of the most successful programs in the nation over the last few years winning 10+ games year in and year out.
