With Folston as the starter. CJ as the 2, and now Justin Brent converted to RB and picking up the position quick. Is that enough depth to be able to redshirt the two new RB?

Keep in mind Brent is a big guy and primarily played RB his senior year in HD. Scoring 18 or 19 TD that year.

1 of the 2 will end up playing.

I would guess that one will learn the offense well enough to dress/travel with the team, potentially seeing special teams time or being a backup for injuries & garbage time.

I will be skeptical of Brent until I actually see him getting snaps. If he was having problems with picking up the mental aspects of the receiver spot he may have troubles transitioning back to RB. It helps he was a RB in high school but the biggest thing is the blocking schemes, that's part of what held Bryant back last year. He may pick it up quicker then the Frosh but I see Dex getting used this year.

Williams might be too good to redshirt - ND has a special opportunity this season . Williams and a couple of the FR WR's might see the field along with Jones . IF a couple of these kids are special they will play .
I think our defense is Top 10 caliber if the offense matches that level we're going to have a terrific year .

You guys keep forgetting that Zaire will get about 10 to 12 carries as well .

So yes,I can see both guys redshirting.

CJ has a hip flexor.....might nag him....in any case today BK said a frosh RB might contribute....both look fast on film. Be ready!!!

Dexter Williams isn't red-shirting. He didn't come from Orlando to sit. He'll get a good chunk of carries this season.
