Will Fuller killing it...underused at ND?

On the deep ball.......yes. it should have been thrown more to him. Nobody could cover him.

just because a player is a great wr it doesn't make him a great kr. Kelly had opening tryouts for the kr spot last year which included fuller but sanders beat him out. again just because a guy is great at wr it doesn't make him a lock for being a great kr
To be fair I think any returner in the NFL takes that one to the house. The blocking was tremendous.
He is having a great rookie season so far. He's got to be a huge headache for defenses with that straight line speed.

I agree, but the one thing you won't see is him getting caught from behind. He has the perfect combination of shifty plus world class football speed. I'm not sure if CJ beat him out versus BK didn't want to risk injury or tire Fuller out over the course of the game. The only time he did catch punts is when they wanted a sure fair catch.

As for his play this year, it's no surprise really. That's why he was he was a first round selection. Looking deeper, he benefits slightly with having Deandre Hopkins lining up with him at WR. Hopkins is a bono fide star and certainly draws a lot of attention from opposing defenses. My Penn State fan best friend is a huge Eagles fan and wanted Philly to draft Will badly. Of course that was no longer possible after they made the trade to move up to #2. I told him before the year Will would beast out this year for no other reason other then he'd face one on one coverage for the first time in his life. Lol. Will must be feeling like the cat that swallowed the canary!

Couldn't of said it any better. The whole reason why ND didn't make the playoff last year was Kelly and BVG. I was at the GTech and USC games last year and a couple quarters would go by and Fuller was non-existent after opening each game demonstrating no one could cover him. Fuller was under used and Smith never rushed the passer. ND arguably had the two best athletes in college last year and lost every game they played against the top-10. Sickening.

Smith was a ridiculous talent. Quickest first three yards I've ever seen. Two times he rushed the QB last year. ****ing TWO.
ONCE against Texas and once against Virginia.

He came here as an outside LB to play in a

It's college dude. There's barely any defense played across D1. They simply underused Smith and didn't target Fuller enough. How do you lose all three games against top-10 teams will all that talent? Kelly sucks! Plain and simple.
Yes. He was underused to the effect that because we never made the playoffs he played in 2 less games per year for 3 years.

They used him occasionally on returns. He's not a big guy. They weren't going to use him full time on returns.
I think folks saw his 67 yard NFL TD PR..... I believe he had 2 career PRs at ND....
What a garbage ass post, he was used to the Fullest. Bet if you ask Will Full and his big time offers from Temple and UMASS that if he was underused @ ND, he say, Naw, "that offense took a kid with no offers to a first round pick." He has great quotes about how he wasn't the fastest kid on his high school team but the ND staff taught him football speed. CG forgot to post those quotes, we'll wait for him to post his next tweet from Davarris Daniels.
