Who will be next D coordinator?

It comes down to what the competition is. He had a good stint at UGA as DC, not so good at Auburn. But he was also an NFL vet, so you had to contend with that competition too. IMHO, he belongs in the NFL. He doesn't really like to recruit, and he needs more than 20 hours a week to get his defense mastered.

I think that is a good assessment of BVG. Pro all the way. Too much time commitment for his guys to succeed in college. Plus it eliminates most underclassmen because of experience. It leads to Schmidt over Morgan.

Damn man I was just asking about the article. Saying you saw it on 247 would have been enough. Be a little more mad on the Internet
I recall seeing several articles that stated BVG was "one of" the highest paid assistants
in the country.

"why the delay" ?? Are you serious? Here's why: no top DC is going to hitch his wagon to Brian Kelly. He is as close to possible as a lame duck Head Coach. Did you really think a guy like Charlie Strong would even consider ND with Kelly on the short plank? No proven DC who has decent options available to him is coming to ND this year. Best ND can hope for is a young guy looking to make the step up or an out of work DC.

They already have the guy on staff if that's the case.

Or perhaps the guy we are shooting for is still coaching right now? There's like 80 bowl teams, and 32 NFL teams, so it's a pretty good possibility.

Wilcox was terrible at SC but has been great everywhere else. Will T, of course is the new Oregon coach so take him off the list.
Knew someone would say that. You also had depth issues. Much like us. Difference is we did'nt have a loss of scholarships. What does that tell you?...........coach.....
