Who do y'all want to see?

With the Clemson and Miami Losses, unless Clemson wins the ACCCG it could be:

Alabama
Ole Miss
Miami.

I'd certainly rather get a Boise State than an Alabama. Indiana would be okay. Penn State would be a tough first round match up. Does that mean we could get the PSU/Indiana loser?

The main question left is whether or not PSU will drop after losing to Oregon. Because if they do, then at this point ND's first 2 games in the playoff could be something along the lines of Arizona State and Boise State, which would be wild.

By no means do I think ND is a "great" team, but there isn't a great team period in CFB this year. Not by a long shot really. Considering their potential/likely opponents, there's going to be an expectation of at least the semi final.

If PSU loses to Oregon, PSU will drop below ND. If PSU beats Oregon, I believe Oregon remains ahead of ND.
ND will be the 5 or 6 seed when it's all said and done.

I dont see why ND can't move ahead of PSU after today. Compare Purdue and SC, ND did better than PSU.
ND is the better team, but PSU has the better strength of schedule. Committee also doesn't look at margin of victory when looking at common opponents. what does it matter, if PSU beats Oregon next week they'll be ahead of ND anyway, if they lose to Oregon they'll drop below ND.

I offered a bet up, and they didn't take it, because the reality is exactly what I stated above.

If they were confident that ND would move ahead of PSU come Tuesday, he would have taken the bet.

I want to see. Bama, Georgia or Ohio st.

Each are a good opportunity to make up for past disappointments. For the first 2, i would love to see the deep south play in South Bend winter weather. For all 3 - it would be home field advantage ND, much better than playing them neutral site down the road.

Ironic

Ironic if it's Miami considering they were originally on our schedule. I don't see PSU beating Oregon unless the Ducks have a lot of turnovers.

Despite today I do not want to see Ohio State in the first round. They have been a top 5 team all season. Miami would be better. Penn State is not beating Oregon.

ND was in good position to beat OSU last year and played them tough the year prior. I believe ND is totally capable of replicating what Michigan did today. I'd love to see a match up with OSU.

Ideally, it seems like hosting a team like Miami, or Clemson would be best. Those teams lean heavily on the pass more than their run games. Throwing the ball 35 times in late December in South Bend is difficult.

Personally, I feel better about playing any teams such as ASU, Bama, South Carolina, etc over OSU/PSU. I definitely think the cold weather could be a significant advantage over teams from the south.

ND can defeat OSU or PSU but those teams play/practice in very similar conditions, they’ll be more acclimated to the cold.
