Haven't read back so if I repeat anything please accept my apologies.
A few thoughts:
-ND's defensive line was as advertised. Stroud struggled because he didn't have the time to throw that he's accustomed to. That's a credit to the D-line of ND. Possibly the best unit OSU will face until late in the season. It's also a credit to OSU's O-line because they were able to run the ball effectively late in the game. OSU could not run the ball between the tackles last year and it bit them against scUM. Demonstrating the ability to do it against an excellent group like ND's is a great sign for OSU.
-From what I saw (and my opinion is about as relevant as dental floss at a Willie Nelson concert) I think OSU's new defensive scheme was effective and the different looks they presented pre-snap confused the QB a little bit. I was impressed with OSU's D-line, and their LB's (who were completely lost for much of the last two years) seemed like they were comfortable and making plays. around 20% of ND's total yards for the game came on their first play. That's a pretty impressive stat for OSU's defense.
-Barring injuries or other unforseen shenanigans, I think OSU has a great chance to run the regular season table and I think ND has a great chance to finish with one loss. If that happens they will both be in the playoffs and will most likely meet in round 1.
